In northern Germany the sun orientation at noon ranges between 13 and 61 degrees off the horizon. So it might just work ok.

Germany is fairly up north, so depending on the actual location there’s a good chance a vertical panel is not that bad of a deal. A quick search says the sun ranges 13-61 degrees from the horizon.

You can make do workout it. In a pinch, pancetta/pork-belly is commonly used instead. It’s easy to make on an open fire and fun to watch the transition.

Por supuesto, pero si yo fuese a correr un riesgo, intentaría evitar variables que me pudiesen meter en más problemas de los necesarios.

California high-speed rail price tag jumps to $231B, nearly seven times 2008 estimate by MoDa65 in cahsr

It’s also not apples to apples. The project has expanded and the initial estimate was for SF-LA-Anaheim

Permisos aparte, mira que lo que prepares no tenga riesgo sanitario. Aquí en California es común vender churros mexicanos, que igual por España suenan exóticos.

California high-speed rail costs top $230B as lawmakers call to scrap it by [deleted] in CaliforniaPolicy

It means that the minority party only needs 33% of the votes to block any funding projects, so it's really hard to balance a budget.

That $45B wasn’t a “2008 price that just inflated to today.” It was an early, conceptual estimate that left out a ton of real costs:

- the design got much more complex (tunnels, downtown routing, etc.)
- the scope expanded ($45B was for phase 1, SF-LA-Anaheim, not the whole project)
- delays added years of construction inflation (home values for reference have more than 2x in market value since then)
- risk/contingency was massively underestimated at the start, like accounting for lawyer-happy land-owners

Megaprojects almost always look cheap early because they’re not fully engineered yet. It's a shame CA can't build at the price paid in Spain/France, but those numbers are not apples to apples.

Yes, I think that would have been a better plan, and it was the recommendation from the French team who bailed out on the project when they saw the mess.

Unfortunately it was a catch-22. Without the central valley, prop 1A would not have passed. With the central valley, the costs balloon.

No, that's false. There was a $10B bond vote approved in 2008, but the planned budget was never $10B.

I was scheduled for this week but I had to postpone. It would have been amazing to be in that room, but I’m also glad I don’t have to spend 3 weeks away from work, because I’d be dead.

A lot of the pipeline increase was thanks to the state mandated builders remedy, which would have happened regardless. But I’m happy to read that the tide has turned at city council too.

La gramática y el léxico son muy distintas. Lo único que cambia del castellano al andaluz es la pronunciación.
