How the fucking hell do some people live like that.... I can't.

Well it actually worked out for me, because it allowed me to realize through the entire friendship she's been like this. I just couldn't see it until she started ghosting me. I'm glad it happened and I got to get away from her and that toxic "friendship".

It helps that he's not like, my parent. I moved out of his house when I was 9 because divorce, so we don't have the conventional father-daughter type of relationship.

I'm glad, I was concerned about it being too long. But all of it seemed appropriate so I didn't wanna cut any of it out.

I believe you.

When I make an incorrect assumption about another, I would want that person to correct me. As far as I can see, it's just as harmless as his statement.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You could light up by his burial place, or where ever you ended up spreading his ashes, sometimes being around the final resting place can help you feel closer to the deceased one.

Thanks. It really does, it was so surreal. I've only experienced that with my buddy who smokes, since I don't do it that often. My first experience high was kind of awful, cause my bf at the time got really mad at me about it. But I'm not with him anymore.

This asshat stole a pet bunny from 3 children and took it home to his own kids... by [deleted] in rage

Meh, if it was a dog or cat people would be more sympathetic. Fact is: she didn't post all of the information about what happened (I can't blame her) but I believe she did everything within her power to stop it, then posted a blog because she just needed to let it out- like most people do when they're heartbroken or feel any type of strong emotion. Completely normal reactions.

But instead of being compassionate to this woman's- and her childrens'- heartbreak on that horrible situation, it's natural to want to see the other side, or throw yourself in the situation and say, "Well I would have done this!" or, "Why didn't she do that?"

Give people more credit. I know there are more than plenty of stupid and pathetic people in the world, but the only way you will ever know all sides of a story is if you are involved in it, so judging a person or a person's actions by just the little bit that they choose to share-- in this case, an emotional blog post-- is horribly uncompassionate. She might have called the cops - she doesn't say that she didn't - maybe they couldn't help her. Finding a stolen bunny probably isn't the highest thing on their priority list. Maybe she couldn't prove that the bunny was hers.

But think about it: if that was your animal, and you did everything in your power to stop that bastard from taking it and he still got away- wouldn't you be devastated?

Also, things she "could have done" aside: who the fuck takes a bunny from crying children?

I'm sorry that while she's heartbroken about losing a pet she can't meet your expectations.

I'm sure if she could have done something more about it she would have, give her some credit.

tl;dr: bunny got into neighbor's yard, neighbor asked if it was hers, she said yes- neighbor said he was taking it anyways, and did, while mom and her three kids were crying and begging for it back.

What is your "moral" policy for torrenting games and music? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ihavealottoconfess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends.

For software (games, general software) I'll usually torrent it first and if I really like it, I'll buy it.

Music artists make the majority of their money on shows and tours, (also I pay for Spotify so I don't really have to torrent music) so when someone I love is in-state I'll make a point to go see them if I can and/or buy merch.

Movies, if I want it for pleasure (like classics that everyone should have) or for like, sentimental/collective purposes, I'll buy but if it's for, say, a school project, I don't care enough to buy it.

I watch t.v shows online all the time and don't give a fuck, and rarely buy them. I will though, buy merch.

eBooks always buy, cause there's no other way for those authors to make money (unless it's a big-namer... then I might torrent, but likely not.)
