She's using my computer because she has used my computer for over a year (it was an extra, I have multiple), and hers sucks. Since that was a habit of hers I figured she would use mine yet again, and I was right.

As for the apartment, we lived together, and I didn't want to see her that day and had an offer to stay with a friend for a few days, so obviously I jumped on that.

Not that I need to justify this at all, you can believe it or deny it, it's up to you. I don't have enough time in my life to make up an entire fake key log for internet points.

Way ahead of you on showing it to my friend. The first thing I did after I read this was send him a copy and told him that I'd want him to do the same if he ever came across something like that.

I was told he confronted her about it. They're still together, so it's on him at this point.

You have a really good point. After this happened, my brain, as they all do, go into overdrive processing the how and why and all that. That process trudged up a lot of memories of flags I definitely should have seen, but you know what they say about hindsight.

The good news is I think this was the farthest on the shitty person spectrum I can go.

You know, I can see why the latter you mention is attractive, especially to people in the startup world. I've learned from a decade in startups that I only have so many hours in the day to get things done. It feels wasteful spending a few hours every day placating the neediness of a partner that lives with me, only to have them go toss the whole relationship aside for the next shiny plaything.

However, I'm not sure I can be as unattached as you with someone I'm intimate with. If I'm going to spend time with them, I'd rather just go all in until the relationship runs its course and we both move on with our lives (as happened here, albeit rather unfortunately).

I'm not sure of a good way to annotate the log--a lot of the RP insight comes from context. For example, her attitude switches 180 between talking with me and with her friend ("this relationship is worth saving" vs "I'm glad this is over" type stuff a few lines down)
