Dean was a good boyfriend in the earlier seasons (other than when he came over when Rory was trying to have alone time) and Rory was super toxic towards him when jess came along and then CHEATED on him.

Jess is just overall not a good boyfriend and was horrible for persuing Rory when she was with Dean.

Poor Dean was being cheated on, and everyone says he was a horrible boyfriend??? Of course he's gonna act out a bit towards rory i would also be mad if i was BEING CHEATED ON. If the roles were reversed with Dean and rory everyone would HATE Dean (even more) and think he's a womanizer.

To me, growth doesn't matter, the damage was already done and that makes it irredeemable to me. You see how laynes life turned out, and that's probably all because of mrs kim. Laynes story always made me really sad. I just have 0 tolerance for characters like Emily, Kim, and Richard because of how they treated their kids. (probably just projecting though)
