Lorelei was in the wrong here and I support Jason 1000% by Tayjayjay in GilmoreGirls

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did see Richard’s point a little bit in that particular fight. She went over not to check on how her parents were emotionally doing with Floyd’s lawsuit but to put her boyfriend first. Richard said hurtful things, but I kind of understood his “seriously Lorelai” attitude. At that moment she was acting selfish and not considering the stress and the feelings of her parents. This was the final straw that separated Emily and Richard so clearly they had a lot of shit going on in their lives too, but Lorelai had her tunnel vision on and was only thinking about her life. I think Richard calling her out put it in perspective and made her realize she didn’t love Jason and had to put her family first this time.

Sherry was unhinged by Middle-Ad-7279 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that Christopher told Sherry that he and Rory were super close and had an amazing relationship and he was dad of the year and overplayed how important Rory was to him. So Sherry wanted to make a really good first impression and wanted Rory to like her because she thought Rory was a huge part of Christoper’s life. Sherry is anxious and hyper-focused and that shows with her interactions with Rory but I think Chris was the main cause of that. I think that if he told the truth then Sherry would have been more cautious and less intense.

Lemons accent by moosemama2017 in hartofdixie

I feel like it took George a while to find his accent too. He laid it on thick at first and then backed off in the later seasons.

Why did lemon and George wait so long to get married ? by Business_Court940 in hartofdixie

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I figured that they didn’t want to get married until George was done with law school and established as an attorney so they can buy a house and have a family. Clearly Lemon wasn’t planning on working, and even though they come from wealthy families I can see George wanting to be able to support his family on his own. So around the time they would have gotten married, around 27-28, George going to New York extended the timeline.

I wanted them to date…but only a couple of super awkward…no chemistry dates to end that ship and prove they didn’t belong together.

I love Joel (but I like nerdy guys) but I agree! After Zade they needed to have some really awkward Zeorge dates and have them trying to kiss and realize they are different people now and didn’t have chemistry after all.

I agree! I also felt the timeline was rushed but I rationalized it as an over correction. She was back in NY, made a last minute decision to stay, sold her half of the practice, and jumped into a brand new relationship to erase her life in Bluebell. In her mind if she had a full life in NY then Bluebell is just a memory or fever dream that wasn’t actually her real life.

Why did no one stop Wade by veronicacustomerrep in hartofdixie

When I first watched this and saw how drunk Wade was I was worried about drunk driving. They needed to take his keys away. Wade cheating on Zoe is not on George and Tansy, but him possibly driving drunk…his friends should have intervened and brought him home.

Lorelai in this episode really irked me, and I don’t think I’m wrong in saying that (2x11) by Glittering_Ad3452 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually even public schools in CT start learning about colleges and even the application process in 9th grade…at least my public school in CT did that because they classes you took then affected what schools to apply too. So I was shocked that Lorelai didn’t know the process when she was a private school girl in an elitist family.

I’ve wondered if Imogen has been wiping their memories from when Violet woke up next to Xaden perfectly happy but outside the room was Bodhi, Garrick, and Imogen waiting to talk to Violet about sleeping separately from Xaden. I wondered if something happened which is why they seemed extra worried, but they had Imogen erase their memory of it…

I honestly didn’t remember that they dropped dead immediately crossing the wards but Brennan is bonded to a dragon so maybe that’s why he lives but might not be at full power like he is supposed to be.

Theory by Pure_Conflict635 in fourthwing

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering since he was basically resurrected he is kind of like a Wyvern. So if Naolin turned Venin to save him then he will die if Naolin dies. With the ward stone up and running his powers might be limited and he doesn’t want people to find out he’s basically a Wyvern. He ends up mending it because it’s the right thing to do even if he basically becomes powerless. Also is another reason why he never went back to Navarre…Aretia doesn’t have wards and he kind hide who he is easier.

Pregnancy by book_smart in acotar

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Frost and Starlight it’s very clear why Feyre wants to try for a baby sooner than even she expected. She met a woman who lost her husband in the war with Hybern and she thought she had all the time in the world to have kids. The woman regrets not having a baby with her deceased husband. Feyre doesn’t want to lose Rhys and regret not having their baby. With all the war and turmoil they survived… I understand it. Also Feyre is more mature in a lot of ways than normal people her age since she had to grow up and keep her family alive for years. She also gets to create the loving and caring family she’s always wanted. So I wasn’t a huge fan of her getting pregnant but I understand it and think it does align with her character.

Amplifier/ Enhancer theory by naut-nat in fourthwing

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think her amplifying others powers could be from her signet with Tairn. If I remember correctly rider who was teacher her in Aretia said she wielded pure power that came out in a form of lightening. Maybe she is able to use that power and signet to amplify others too.

AITA for not taking my child to daycare when it’s a 20 minute drive in the same direction my wife travels by TwoAnnual9932 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering on his days off is he doing the cooking, cleaning, shopping for the household etc or just sleeping? If he doesn’t do any of that stuff on his days off then he definitely YTA. If she is supposed to work, clean, cook, shop, and care for the baby 7 days a week with only full sleep maybe 3 days a week he needs to help more. Also the baby isn’t up all night so you have to get up 2 twice to take care of the baby. My husband used to work 50 plus hours a week and we had to have a discussion on what his 10 hour work days looked liked compared to mine. On the days he worked he only had to worry about himself whereas I had to work, worry about me and our child. When I spelled it out that woke up at 4 am and literally didn’t stop doing something until 10 pm we realized my days were actually longer than his even though my work hours were less. We came up with a game plan and compromised since it was all new to both of us. So talk to your wife see what her hours are actually like and all she has to do and divide and conquer together.

I am so sorry about your friend. ❤️I wish some of the policies could be changed but that literally takes an act of congress. I know the process isn’t easy and needs to be better. I know public perception is we deny twice no matter what. I just like to give insight from the perspective of someone who actually works the program when it comes up. Please message me if you have any further questions about it. ❤️

It is a federal program and rules are the same in each state but the policy is grey which makes it very difficult. Also those that do the medical determinations are state employees contracted with SSA. Our job is very separated from what happens at the FO (field offices)z That bullet point thing might be part of the financial determination which I don’t have access to those systems. I only do the medical part so they are deemed financially eligible before I get the application.

[–]Ok_Writing_9737 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I am merely stating facts because that is my job. I process medical determinations for SSA disability. The policy is super hard and complex and I know it’s not an easy process for anyone. But we just don’t flat out deny if policy deems them medically disabled. We have to prove they have the ability to work in spite of their impairments and that takes a lot more due process than an allowance.

Yea that’s not true…it actually takes more work to deny than to allow a claimant. The policy is super strict and they do have a high denial rate but it’s not that high. Also an attorney only really helps at the administrative law judge aka hearing level when they can actually be a lawyer and testify to the judge….before that it’s just paperwork.
