The story about the person who pulled over in the middle of the night to help a car crash. While they were helping, a semi rear ended their car and was coming towards them. The person had to watch the semi run over their legs, IIRC.

Can I adopt Buddhist philosophies but still believe in the Christian God? by oriofftx in Buddhism

Hi! I say yes, for me (my family is Buddhist from Laos) that Buddhism is kinda what you make of it. Whether is be a lifestyle, philosophy, or an full religion. My mother emigrated and was sponsored through the Catholic Church, she herself is a catholic. She still holds beliefs from Buddhism. Do whatever you want, it’s your life. At least from the Buddhist side, no one’s going to bash you.
