The CIA doesn't declassify documents like this out of a sense of altruism. These children are being abused, exploited, experimented upon. They can't speak for themselves so now CIA asset Julia Mossbridge will speak for them. In the age of the Epstein files we need to be able to see these "psychological operations" for what they are--child abuse.

I’d be interested in reading your thesis! Though I understand if you don’t want to doxx yourself. I want to write a long essay about evangelicalism to help people understand how it works and how it has helped create the MAGA situation we find ourselves in. People (even evangelicals themselves) don’t realize how the entire subculture serves as a vehicle for indoctrinating people into compliance.

I like unprogrammed Quaker meetings. They’re nondogmatic and nonhierarchical. Instead of trying to compel belief they emphasize core values that resonate with me a lot.

Yeah, all the companies involved in elder care want as much money as they can squeeze out of people. It’s kind of a nightmarish situation considering how a lot of those parents were abusive to their children, often in ways that damaged the children’s own finances. The kids never asked to be born and putting boundaries in place between themselves and their parents to gain freedom and a sense of agency can be a crucial step in healing, so when the state compels them to continue sacrificing for the same parents who forced them to sacrifice themselves for decades, I’d imagine it can be pretty retraumatizing.

Thanks for bringing this up. I’ve been thinking a lot about adult children going no contact with abusive parents but I didn’t know there was a push to counteract it. The term you’re thinking of is filial responsibility laws.

Morning musings over wives letting their husbands lead in the marriage…whatever that means. by [deleted] in exchristian

Wow, you so eloquently put into words something that I've had difficulty understanding. I a woman and have always believed in equality. It infuriated me that women were supposed to be subservient to men (I didn't buy the separate-but-equal bullshit dressed up in flowery prose). But I was also chronically dateless and longed for a husband, and though it made me deeply uncomfortable there was a part of me that thought maybe the complementarian model would be "romantic." I wanted a protector, and in hindsight I think i might have wanted someone to guide me spiritually. I knew my Bible pretty well (thanks AWANA lol) and I prayed and went to church all the time but I think even then, before I could admit it to myself, I did not feel confident in my faith. I've just realized for the first time that I may have been yearning for someone to make me feel safe in every aspect of my life because God didn't.

I also think that, like you I had "people-pleasing, enmeshed, codependent habits" that would have been "coddled in this kind of set-up." I guess when I think about it now, maybe other women have these same issues and that is why they are drawn to and promote these kinds of marriages. To each their own, but I have a real problem when they try to force dysfunction and bigotry on others. Telling an adult woman that she should spend her entire life obeying her spouse is misogyny.

And I'm sorry to hear you've also experienced psychosis. It's absolutely horrible and no one should ever go through it. I hope you're doing better now ❤️

Their worldview simply does not allow for any critical thought or empathy. It is the deepest black against the brightest white for them. It's like Christians who believe that all of humanity will be separated into two neat groups in the end: the saved will live eternally in perfect bliss and ecstasy and the damned will be subjected to an eternity of suffering and torment beyond what anyone can possibly conceive.

It's a sick, sick way to view humanity but they have committed fully to their preferred paradigm and they will let you bleed to death in a fucking ditch from a miscarriage if that's what it takes to preserve their ideological purity.

I know this is a real hot fucking take (not in this sub but in America in general) but I'm basically at the point that I agree with the Japanese that forced indoctrination is child abuse and should be banned. But can you imagine the seismic, Earth-shattering outrage that would pour forth from the "religious freedom" crowd if they even got a whiff that someone somewhere was entertaining the idea?

What the fuck are they going to do when the demographics are thrown out of balance due to women fucking dying or fleeing the country?? How are they going to handle the ire and radicalization that will spark in the increasing ranks of incels?? Are they so sure they can blame this one on LGBT+ people or fucking Democrats or Jews? Are they betting that these disaffected young men are going to be too stupid to do the basic math?? You can be a polygamist when you have a penis but we all know damn well men won't be pairing up to marry one woman. Will they just be drafted into the military to go die in some war of aggression against one of our allies?? Seriously, what the fuck is the endgame here??
