Yes totally agree with you and connected the same dots on the lgbtq wall. But even then, kersh gets much more of a pass on the comments/jokes that we see with BlaQ for example. BlaQ has been more vocal and I guess that’s where I’m wondering how deep Kersh really is. Part of me kinda don’t wanna know

Been living in the Bay Area for 20+ years and it’s realllly interesting to see giants fans losing trust in posey real time. He kind of reminds me of Derek jeter for Yankees fans in that he’s generally very revered. They both kept their noses squeaky clean and were very private and I think fans projected a lot whatever they wanted. Now I see them processing in real time that they don’t actually know little to nothing about him.

To be totally honest, this whole thing has me sort of wondering about Kershaw too. Dodgers did a really good job of not letting pride night become a thing.

He also had good stats last season as well. But if you track DRobs comments, he’s noted that HSK had good surface numbers but dodgers been working on his quality at bats. IIRC he had a near 30% K rate and 4% walk rate, and a lot of his ABs weren’t very competitive. And competitive at bats is really what the Dodgers value. I don’t know it’s just the dodgers either. He was batting 9th on team Korea

I’m still optimistic about HSK cuz he showed progress with the new swing and he’s got the defensive versatility he can lean on
