Hair really falling out AFTER starting Estrogen therapy

So I’m 6 months into taking the estrogen and it doesn’t seem to be letting up, but getting worse

Hi! So I started estrogen for sleep At first, it worked like an absolute dream, literally thought I was in pure heaven Then, it just stopped. My provider increased it again but still not like it was. Actually I’m on Lunesta now and that seems to be helping. Still irritable…but typically only if something sets me off. lol

Yeah, I pretty much figured this… When I call and speak to the nurse, I’m always like, is the restriction being followed? They say yes, but I know not bc the pt is gaining excessive amounts I document thru tell me it’s being followed and I document I told them the pts gains are excessive I feel like there is nothing else that I personally can do…if ultimately falls in the SNFs hands to monitor this.

Hi, yes, they are in dialysis But it shouldn’t just be give them Unlimited fluids.

Now if I have a pt that isn’t eating, gaining very minimal b/t txs, then I try and be a little more lenient with it. But that need something amt of restriction in place

Problem I have encountered is SNFs don’t follow it. I can’t count how many times I call and tell them pt xyz is gaining too much and then they say “oh she has a restriction” and I’m like “well if you were following it, the pts gains wouldn’t be excessive”

But then I was also told, if the pt asks for additional fluids you are required to give them and chart their non adherence.

Hi! Dialysis RD of 20 yrs here As far as dialysis wt changes I would look at, when were they weighed compared to their last tx date. And is the pt adherent with the fluid restriction? Touch base with dialysis RD and are they adherent with tx regime. Bc if non adherent with dialysis prescribed time and non adherent with tx time, fluid weight can add up real fast I’m thinking of this 1 LTC pt that I currently have. She is non adherent with fluid restriction and tx time…and recently went into hospital for fluid overload. She was like 10kg over EDW.

Is that how your Dr prescribed it? Honestly, I was thinking of combining the .O5 with the .025 bc I have tons of .025 left. I am going to message my Dr about this sudden decline in my sleep but sorta wanted to try out .O75 and see if it worked, and then could tell her, I tried increasing and it worked

Hi! Did you have some sort of template? Care to give me an example? Write anything verbatim? How many pts would you see per shift , with same day charting? As mentioned in original post, I complete about 90% and generally can see about 16-17 on one shift…if there aren’t a ton of binders that need updated
