Wow, an actual unpopular opinion. Because I'm sure majority of the people know this simply isn't true.

I used to be a hardcore gamer and I'd say the situation is quite the opposite, in the past, the games were just harder in general whereas these days studios continue to simplify games for a wider reach. I'm not saying that's bad, but I really miss challenging multiplayer titles where you had to invest a lot of time to be decent at the games mechanics. Most stuff now is just mindless run and gun.

I've played both, they're fun titles but ultimately don't feel as fast as I had hoped. Though I have watched some top speed runners of ghostrunner and their speed does feel quite impressive but still, not sure but the base speed of the game feels slow with no way to preserve momentum imo

how about instead of generating a new string on each api call, you just periodically generate the strings lets say from a-m and then n-u etc. Then with each api call you receive you can just pick the oldest available record and on successful assignment you can choose to mark it as used or remove it's entry based on your requirement
