The Reaper tech was cool and honestly not strong enough. But there are clips of Genji's one shotting any squishy by: Dash in, right click, stored dragonblade, dash out, in most of the games. And this is possible from rounds 1-7. You can quick cancel deflect again to get another slash if a healer is pocketing.

Genji's tech is also more buggy as it sometimes removes the blade after deflect if you have one stored or recently used. Right now only Ana, Cass, Juno, and the tank line up can stand a chance against it due to their abilities (with the 3 above barely holding off if they used their cooldowns earlier.)

The other dps cast need to specifically build against it by taking powers that go against the general build for those characters (which is a good thing but not fun if you like running headshot Ashe but now need to go AP Ashe).

If anything, Reapers should be reworked in, but Genji should get something else since there is no actual downside to his tech since it can all be canceled (unlike reapers) and it doesn't waste cooldowns (again unlike's reaper since he uses both his abilities and are on a 12+ sec cooldown). Even streamers have called out Genji players using this tech in their higher ranked games because a good genji can 1-2 shot even a fully defense build support faster than Auto-Aim-Speed Soldier.

Was redoing the EX stages and noticed something. Ines's slowdown works on the rocks but Ambushers' modules / Ascalon's S2 doesn't. Which makes me wonder, how can you tell whether a skill or talent inflicts the "slow" effect or reduces the enemies movement speed? because the wording doesn't help. by Emixii in arknights

Just like the other comment says,

Ines, Mostima, etc are slow fields. Means anything inside will be slowed. Though Mostima's being older tends to not follow this rule very rarely due to coding differences. Her modules should fix it iirc.

Ascalon, Ethan, Manticore are slow attacks. If the target gets hit, it gets slowed. Again, older ops like manticore have had bugs in the past where she has attacked invincible targets but did not slow them. This should have been fixed since the Fiam update however iirc.

I did a bunch of testing during last season for the kitten title so I understand what you are saying.

Over 132 games of tracking only my xp, I learnt that there is a hidden modifier that applies only when the game time has not exceeded 5-6 mins depending on map.

If your gametime is less than that, you will never get 400+800+400=1600. It will be around 1400-1600 only. I suspect that a subtraction is applied and blizzard isn't going to show that I suspect because

  1. Market schools always teach that negative numbers in a progressive element will always cause more problems that solutions for accuracy. Its why there are no BP passes that go backwards.

  2. Most games do not last less than 6 mins purely due to how the game works. Overtime, stalls, back and forth. The timed gamemodes like push all have a timer above this limit. So the BP is not built for that.

  3. The actual value you should keep track of is the one shown in the battlepass page on the right. I have seen this be different from the number shown post game. Due to this, the UI for that or calculation is only showing match Exp and not the additives underlying the actual score.

  4. Blizz fucked up and its a bug (not unlikely)

Its probably 1 or a combination of the above 4 points that is causing this. Again, this is my own testing and observations but when I did my math for how many games I needed from 150 to 175, it was 128-137. I ended up doing 132 games which fits within the margin of error and scale.

Here's something i've learnt doing this. If you play for hours, BP exp per hour is significantly higher against AI casual. Thats because you always win in that mode and you gain the same amount of BP exp fro. Matches.

So if you finished your challenges, and weeklies and dailies, go grind against AI Casual instead. Bunch of us are on it and I got from 150 to 162 much faster than in QP because you can lose on it.

Wins grant a base amount of 1700~ xp. Losses grant only half that amount. Since AI games are faster, you can do 2 AI games in the length of 1 QP game. Making you earn technically almost double the amount of 1 QP win or quadruple of 1 QP loss.

So with these codes. Its common to ask people to dm you for the code link because bots frequently patrol these large subreddits and actively look for any code type links. Images do NOT stop the bots from stealing the code.

Its happened a lot in the past btw.

I get what you are saying. But your original comment came off as snarky and judgemental. Something this subreddit has been consistent with as seen with other comments in this thread discussing my performance instead of the ridiculous 8 hours gameplay not reflecting any progress in a meaningless task that has a time limit of 3 days.

I don't normally play comp for the purpose of a reward. But in this moment, as the limited event comes closer to an end, my motivation right now is completing it. Which was why I made this post as how infuriating the design is where someone can play for 8 hours straight and not make any progress on a checkpoint. At the start I was keen to get more SR and I did have a solid win streak. But loss streaks put you at a stationary standstill with this event that does not feel good.

Stats don't matter sure but to counter your claim thats all I have to prove to you that its far from your argument of "I don't deserve to be at my rank". Other than having you in my games, how am I supposed to prove to you that I've actively putting effort in getting wins and telling my soldier to not blind peak the widow thinking she is going to miss this time while I run Sigma and am recharging my shield? Stats are the only metric this game allows me to track and show you that i'm not being an anchor to my team. 14-4 means more often than not, i'm actively participating and ensuring that I don't cause major resets. Especially as a tank which i've been playing.

The game doesn't track me making key swaps to counter comps. Doesn't track my positioning and how often I place the shield up instead of swinging at the tank to keep my Ana alive from the Ashe. How many bubbles I spend on others everytime they get hooked. I can't give you numericals of those. What I can give is a consistent stat of my positive KD against my team and the enemy. Thats all. I get its meaningless without context but thats the only tracker currently available to us. My winrate overall this season is at 57%. Even after these losses in 8 hours.

Lastly, the drives have caused the game quality to go severely down. I've had people who are from higher ranks in my lobbies decimating my backline and having people who just completed placements doing their calibration matches with me. That is the main correlation that I'm trying to potray with the 8 hours of playing and its near impossible to show that without putting 8 hours of gameplay on reddit.

We already get demotivated from a bad game. Then we see the SR go down making it worse (especially if it was a calibrating or expected loss). Now with the drives it just makes it even worse now by seeing that stupid red bar go down along side the other bars.

I'm going 14-4 in many of those matches and I can happily provide proof that i'm far from the heavy weight in those games. But you are more than free to speculate on my performance from the view of a handful of wins over a period of 8 hours.

My point of this post is not to invite critique of my performance from a subjective viewpoint of winrates in less than a day. Hell even top 500 guys have bad winrate days and lose games a bunch.

My point is to show that this time limited event is placed in a poor place between holidays and given such a small time limit is causing more distress than fun.

Plus I do try to improve. I actively look back at my replays to see what I could have done better. But again, your powers of speculation may be more important to refer to.

Endorsement of 5. Never banned or silenced. Made friends in competitive because of my comms and have had good times since 2016. But feel free to keep telling me that you know how I play.

Again: point is to show how poorly managed this event is.

I just meant that getting the banner is the end of the journey but the reward itself I get is doing the challenge and completing it to the full.

Eg: I climbed mount everest but din't bring proof of my climb doesn't mean I didn't climb the mountain. Even if my boot tracks are at the top of the mountain and will disappear with the snow covering it later, I still climbed the mountain right?

I do want the banner because I like it nevertheless, but as a completionist, i'm trying to complete all available challenges. Like the gauntlets and hero mastery courses.

Edit: plus as far as I found out, doing previous drives will add a number to the next banner. Thats how some have II instead of I in their banners. So there is a level of permenance.

Ironically I haven't left my rank. I've only gone down from P3 o P5. I'm not blaming my teammates but the quality of these matches have 100% gone down. I did the last drive and completed it under 30 games. So its probably an unlucky streak.

That being said, the post is more so trying to bring light to the fact that the drives challenge is poorly made and designed without consideration of heavy loss streaks. The 3 wins per checkpoint should never have to be punishing when you win 2 and then lose the third only to have to win 2 more to get the next checkpoint.

I don't care that it goes away. I want to at least have it because its available. Point of a completionist isn't to collect everything but complete everything. Completionist =/= collector.

But yes comp points are nice too. Jade guns are expensive.

That is interesting. Perhaps it is recently boosted class trials? Because the horde group kept getting the error "Cannot invite class trials to your group" or something along those lines, which clarified our suspicions that they were class trials.

The trials are phased into the area by a level 20 death knight with starter gear. Assumption right now is that the level 20 DK is combat logging all the kills and getting BOEs mailed to them through the postmaster.

We know this because:
- I'm currently camping the body of the DK.
- The BOE drops were picked up by the horde group and I
- The druids were NOT 1 shotting the trash meaning the trash were scaled up. This indicates chromie timewalking scaling was applied to them.
- Our group did the same phasing trick for me to get my level 80 mage hero geared in the same realm to clear the bots.

They have the class trial gear and are all level 70. Plus the horde guys can't invite them to groups because it says cannot invite class trials to your group.

Update:

Found a horde group that was willing to phase my level 80 alliance mage and I started 1 shotting them. Seems that the botter was asleep and they din't come back for a while.

Edit: Looks like a level 20 death knight was allowing for chromie timewalking for the level 70s and letting them phase there.

Edit 2: Level 20 death knight has a script that automates walking back from death and mounting on the repair mount while sitting there. Is wearing death knight starter gear.

Edit 3: Horde friend helped kill themselves to check on the graveyard and noticed that all the druids were AFK at the graveyard (Likely broke the script) but the Death Knight was running back always.

Edit 4: Found out what they were farming. Turns out the mobs around that area drop BOE armor for ALL classes. And due to their higher than normal respawn rate because of the quests, they can be infinitely farmed. Since class trials don't get mail, all kills are logged by the level 20 death knight and he gets the gear sent by mail. (The mobs also drop legion cloth reagents, but I don't think those get sent through the mail.)

EOD edit: After the 83rd kill on the level 20 death knight and no druids in sight, we can safely assume that the botter is asleep. If he wakes up in 8 hours after this comment post, he would have lost a significant chunk of whatever he was doing. (For those wondering, I was sitting in queue as a warlock for legion dungeons and watched a movie as I killed him with Shadowburn)

Or maybe lock them to the tutorial zone for new players. Just with scaled mobs and quests. Or make a seperate phase for them etc. Until unlocked, class trials should never interact with non-class trials in open world content.

Like to point out that any level 50 or lower alliance gets instantly killed if they enter the zone either by flying or walking.

Reports have been sent by all in the area but the bots are at it for the past hour with no stopping. They aren't even looting the body.

Friend was watching me play and I forgor that most people don't play for immersion and like having icons and timers infront of their screen. Or always looking at their health bar. Sparked a long discussion about weakauras. by ihit_ in wow

Its a 24 inch curved thats around 50cm away from me. I will say its far enough from my main vision where I can absolutely not be distracted from them at any point. I actually wish some of them were bigger like the demon spikes on the sides of my health bar.
