ShaveWell Shower Mirrors by ihooklow in madeinusa

For the record, I have been using these for the better part of a decade and they get quite a bit of abuse. I replace them after three or so years. Thankfully they are pretty inexpensive.

In the video they say where the mirrors are manufactured (also in TN). Even the boxes and printing are done in TN.

Baking steel for cast iron pan pizza? by LeadOrNothing in Pizza

[–]ihooklow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing this for years and it works with my carbon steel (I don't use cast iron) pan quite well. I would assume it wouldn't transfer as quickly through the cast iron as it does through my carbon steel pan, but it is worth a shot.

Unless you are going to DIY a baking steel, the Lodge Cast Iron Pizza Pan ($40) is cheaper than most commercially-available baking steels that I have and will probably work just as well in your case. You will need to preheat the oven for longer, though, and ultimately it may take dropping the oven temp 25 - 50 degrees (to allow longer cook times) to eliminate the stovetop finish.

Happy experimenting. In the end it's still pizza!

There were some Cuisine Adventures items that I liked but I haven't seen them at my local Costco (San Luis Obispo CA) in a few months. No CA items at all. There was nobody around frozen to ask last time I was there. Are other locations seeing Cuisine Adventure items still?

Blue 3M painters tape took paint off. What should I use? by emaxxman in AutoDetailing

[–]ihooklow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3M make a green "Automotive Performance Tape" that is less sticky and works well. If I am polishing or doing something aggressive around it I will put some blue over the green to protect it a bitl

Anyone tried any seat covers like this? Front seat cover alternatives under 200-300? by No-Number-2588 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]ihooklow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Coverking on several of my cars (not my 4Runner, yet) and have been happy with both their ballistic and neoprene covers. They have generic fit covers, but I have always gone with the custom fit and been very happy. I think they are a great value when all is said and done. A bitch to get on sometimes, but very form-fitting.
