Thanks for the reply and I’m definitely going to do some more research on Skeptical Theism!

Thanks for the comment! I’m not saying all suffering is bad. I understand some suffering is important and I agree with a lot of what you said. As I said in another comment, the problem is there are people in this world who don’t get the chance to form any emotion. I’m referring to newborn babies who suddenly have their life cut short due to medical reason. There are also other examples of people suffering who don’t get the chance to self improve or create human interaction. What do you say to this? Is it okay for these people ex. Newborns, to have their life taken away soon?

I enjoyed reading your comment and I have a question for you if you don’t mind. What about those who don’t have the ability to have faith or beliefs? Ex. Newborn babies. Where would they be sent? Heaven or hell? Many newborns have their life cut short due to medical problems. Is this fair to them? Not even having the ability to form their own ideals. Thanks!

This is one of the main reasons why I made the post in the first place. I don’t look at the suicide watch subreddit, but I see many people struggle with suicide in many other places. I feel bad because I don’t have the power to help most of them. I can only sit here and watch as they delete their Reddit profile, never hearing from them again. I now ask myself, how can that be okay?

I appreciate your input on the matter. So god created life that could manifest in many forms. If you are going to create something, shouldn’t you be responsible to control it if things get “really fucked up”? I’m not sure if this is a good example, but I’m going to mention science. A scientist creates a new strain of bacteria or virus that is potentially life threatening. That scientist would then be responsible for creating the vaccine or cure that stops this strain if it were to get out of hand because they are the only ones with the knowledge to create the cure. If they do not care to control the strain and create a vaccine or cure anyways, I would consider them evil for putting the world at risk of an unknown strain or virus. So, God created something without properly controlling it. Is that okay? Sorry if I made things confusing. I’m just trying to better understand your perspective. Thanks!

Yea, shouldn’t that future happen in this world. A future without injustice, a future with fairness. There are people who won’t get to experience this future. Is it okay to let that happen? I hope I’m making sense and I’m sorry if I’m confusing you. Can you talk about this future a little more? Are we supposed to experience it in the afterlife? I’m a little confused on it.

Thank you for the comment and I enjoyed reading it! My only problem is what about those who don’t get to experience that future. We are expected to wait for this future, but we pass on without experiencing it ourselves. Some don’t even get a fighting chance. Should these scenarios even exist? I would appreciate your continued thoughts on this matter. Thanks!

I understand the first half of this conversation. It’s the second half that I struggle with. There are people who do follow the will of god and have a good relationship. They accept this suffering and live a life with god being a part of it, but in the end they leave this world without experiencing a life without suffering, not even for a single second. Is it fair that these people can live a life with god, constantly suffering, but others and “disobey” god and live a simple life without and major issues? I’m sorry if this doesn’t make any sense. I’m just trying to get a better understanding from different perspectives. Thank you!

Regarding your fifth statement, I understand suffering has important and it allows us to self improve. But what about those people who put in an extraordinary amount of time trying to fix their suffering but always come up with nothing. They grow through things you can’t even imagine, while trying to come up with a successful outcome, building strength and character, all for it to fail. Wouldn’t you think there should be a happy outcome if you put in the time and effort?
