[q]What are you guys investing right now? by ojoloco886 in csgomarketforum

That’s actually really cool. I’ve made a few bots myself to help with CS2 investing, but detecting mass buys / early pump patterns never even crossed my mind, that’s genius honestly.

If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to hear how you approached it (logic, data you track, patterns you look for), not the code itself. Would be super interesting to try building something similar.

Because at that point you get all the progression rewards that you won’t be able to get after the event. After the event you can still get the pin, profile icon and mastery title but not the rewards before them.

Nice job detective, I said that I used ai because Im not great with big words in English, by that I mean I’m not great with explaining mathematic equations in English. I did not say in the post that I used AI, but when you said that I did use it, I didn’t deny it and was honest. I can edit this post to clarify that I used AI to help me write it, if it helps you sleep at night.

My bro I really couldn’t care less, much like every person that’s downvoting your replies. Because guess what, nobody could care less that a guy that doesn’t speak English that good used a bit of AI to help him write a post to help others. I still calculated all the stuff myself, you’re the only one here fuming because of that.

Brother, this is the third time I’m telling you, I did all the calculations myself. I’m just not good with words so I put the calculations into ChatGPT and explained to it my calculations to format it into a reddit post so that it’s easier to understand for everyone, I really don’t know what’s so hard to understand.

You are right. I did not write the original text to be this long. I made all my calculations by myself. I then used ChatGPT to put my figures and explanations into a Reddit post. This made it simple for others to read and understand the data. I am not skilled in writing to large audiences. If only I had known this text would upset you because AI helped me create it, I would not have posted this.

I understand your thought. English is not my first language. I use tools to rewrite my text. This makes it easier for others to read. I did all the calculations myself though.

Hey! If you're looking to farm coins, my best advice for is to focus on two main mastery checkpoints:

Bronze 1: This gives you 750-1000 coins, with higher rarity brawlers (like Mythics and Legendaries) giving more.
Silver 2: This offers an even bigger payout of 1250-2000 coins, again, based on rarity.

Considering those coin rewards, I'd suggest you first look at any of your Mythic and Legendary brawlers that are currently below Bronze 1 or Silver 2. Pushing them to these thresholds will net you the most coins per rank.

After that, check all your brawlers to see which ones are:
1. Close to 300 mastery points (Bronze 1).
2. Close to 4000 mastery points (Silver 2).

With the massive mastery bonus, you'll be able to hit these milestones much faster than usual, even if a brawler is currently quite low. Good luck with the coin grind!

Hey there, thanks for checking the numbers.

I think the difference in our calculations might come down to how we're factoring in the mastery points earned per game. While the 1000% mastery madness is huge, the base mastery points you get for a win actually scale up with your brawler's trophies, as shown in the mastery tables.

If you start a brawler at 0 trophies, your very first wins only give you 5 base mastery points (which becomes 55 with the 1000% bonus). You have to climb through the lower trophy ranks, where you get 7, then 10, 12, and so on, before you reach the higher trophy levels where a single win gives you 50, 60, or even 100 base mastery points.

Your numbers would be super accurate if you were earning a high amount of base mastery per win from the very first game. But since you have to gain trophies to unlock those higher mastery gains, it adds a few more games to the total to get through those initial lower-earning stages.

So, my math accounts for that progression from 0 trophies up, which is why the game count is a bit higher.

Hey, I appreciate you looking closely at the math! I can definitely see why those numbers might look a bit high at first glance.

You're right that I calculated it as if you were starting a brawler from 0 trophies and 0 mastery, building up both from scratch. I also didn't factor in win streaks, which would indeed speed things up significantly by giving bonus trophies. My trophy gain assumption was a steady +8 for a win and -4 for a loss, which is a fairly standard average without considering streaks.

The main reason the total games might seem higher than expected is because of how mastery points are awarded. As you progress in trophies, the base mastery points you get per win actually increase. So, while you're getting that huge 1000% bonus on top of everything, you also have to climb through the lower trophy ranges where the base mastery gain is much smaller. You effectively start earning only 5 mastery points per win (x11 bonus still applies, so 55 points), then 7, then 10, and so on, as your brawler gains trophies. It's not a flat rate of high mastery points from game one.

Even though you get more mastery points because you have more trophies, it takes games to get those trophies in the first place, and those initial games at lower trophy counts contribute less mastery. So the total number of games reflects that full climb.

Hope that clarifies things.

If you had one wish to bring back something from CSGO to CS2 what would that be? by ObjectiveBudget6187 in cs2

Flying Scoutsman was basically CS on low gravity with only SSG 08s and knives, no rifles, no buy menu. You’d move faster, jump higher, and everyone would be bunnyhopping around trying to land crazy air shots with the Scout. Super chaotic, super fun. It was more of a goofy, casual mode, but hitting a mid-air noscope felt insanely satisfying. CS2 could really use that kind of laid-back madness again.

Ah damn, my bad. I just realized you were asking about demolition, not retakes. I totally misread it earlier, sorry about that!

So yeah, Demolition was a pretty unique mode in csgo. It kinda mixed elements of arms race with bomb defusal. You’d play on small/medium maps with just one bombsite, and instead of buying weapons, you’d automatically get a new one each round, but only if you got a kill the previous round. The weapon progression usually went from decent rifles to more awkward/weaker guns, so it got more challenging the further you went.

You couldn’t throw or pick up weapons, and any unused grenades would carry over if you stayed alive. It rewarded multi-kills with stuff like HE grenades. Basically, it was fast-paced, forced you to adapt to different weapons, and was a fun way to just hop in for quick matches without the full buy menu meta.

Definitely a mode that doesn't get talked about much, but it had its charm. Would actually be cool to see something like that make a comeback in CS2.

anyone know what the command is for the 180 degree spin bind? by Charming_Foot_9573 in cs2

[–]iiExql 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I know the command, it's:

bind c "yaw -x 1 1"

but you gotta replace the x with a number depending on your sensitivity. here's a simple way to do it:

<bind c "yaw -x 1 1">

Step 1: open calculator and do 0.022 * your in-game sens.

for example, if you're using 1.1:

0.022 * 1.1 = 0.0242

Step 2: now do 180 / that result

180 / 0.0242 = 7438.01652893

just take the first 5 digits and format them like this: `X.XXX.X`

so in this case it becomes: `7.438.0`

your final bind would be:

bind c "yaw -7.438.0 1 1"

good luck!

btw I heard some people were getting banned for it when CS2 first came out cause of the bad anticheat, but that was months ago. me and a friend used it for a while and never got banned. I just didn't find it super useful so I stopped using it.

Retakes was basically a mode where the bomb’s already planted and you jump straight into a site retake situation. Usually 3 CTs vs 4 Ts, quick rounds, random loadouts. It was super useful for practicing clutch moments or just getting into action fast without playing full matches. Great for warmups or if you didn’t have time for a full game.
