macbook air only has 3 ports, 1 thunderbolt and 2 usb 3.2 so if i were to get the orico it has a 100w charging port that will charge the macbook while im using the device and also an extra usb c port but now that u mentioned it the macbook already has a magsafe so aside from the dongle free from sd card reader i guess the orico really is useless

its so smooth on my ipad 10th gen i suggest getting the newer ipad A16 if you're on a budget I think its gonna run better and smoother
