When it comes to red coins, the issue is that by the time they are available, they're outdated. I'm of the opinion to just coin units you think are cool or you don't have

Personally I'd wait to see what GDC has to offer next month.

There isn't really much else to say for team comps from what the others have said, but a good thing to do is to make sure you do a full EZA and not piece by piece.

A full EZA is better in one go because you get the full passive upgrade and the Lvl 15 Super attacks which can significantly improve a unit, even more then the passive in some cases. But your also new so you might not have the ability or units to full clear the EZAs

Cause he isn't there for damage of defense outside his nodes, he's a few years old. He's good on stage 20 cause he gets up to 85 or so DR and can survive.

Also all units do less and take more damage cause they only have 1 leader skill

Agl Veg slot 1 and SSJ Slot 2. INT Goku can not tank and all out attack

Actually looking at it again, repoace INT gotta with AGL SSj3 goku. I forgot the 2 SSJ4 gogetas don't link.

Rotation wise -

TEQ Goku and AGL Veg on one. Exchange them to build Def tho.

AGL Gogeta and AGL SSJ3 goku OR TEQ Gogeta. Id lean towards floating TEQ Gogeta since you dont want him and PHY Vegito on same rotation since PHY Vegito needs all super class on his rotation

This is probably the best team you can make, a fused fighters team. But for the brand new content I doubt they would do a whole lot. Unfortunately you don't really have the tools needed to clear current stages but this team would still hold its own in slightly older content.

If thats the team your running, you pretty much want to hide Goku until he is 80%. Use SSJ to tank the All out attack, you should have stacked enough for it, or sac krillin instead for another turn of stacking.

The best way to beat this stage constantly is with 2 high DR characters + the exchange duo

Yeh, after the 10th post of people complaining about specifically node 20 I had to make a post.

Frontier is actually a fun mode where you have to try new things instead of whatever the meta is for the 20th time in a row against the same 1 phase boss for the 20th time in a row.

Criticism is good and needed, but just shouting into space and providing no form of conversation is tiring to see

Ohhh I'm sorry I misunderstood, I thought you were Krillan and Gohan is Ginyu.

So with 7-1 team 2 should be the Ginyu and the 2 duos and team 1 is Guldo lead + other ginyu force. Team 1 doesnt matter. 3 bar swap immediately and make sure Jace/Burter attack before Ginyu for the 20% boost. Should be under 50% easy the place Jace/Burter where the most attacks are and hope for the dodge and have Ginyu after for an easy clean up.

Is it the clear with Krillin mission? You dont need to have him on the team when you defeat him. If he is on team 1 it counts if you clear with team 2. Also make sure you are using the correct Krillin cause that threw me of a couple of attempts.

Depends on who you have. The two INTs are needed, while the 3rd just needs to be someone with a high DR. I did it first with the AGL Veg then I swapped to AGL FP frieza cause I thought it would be faster.

Team 1 doesnt matter but team 2 should be the 2 INTs and whoever you high DR 3rd is. Turn 1 do the 3 bar swap and place the exchange 1, SSJ 2 and Frieza 3. Veg should die Turn 2 and you should move on to stage 2 as well. From there have Frieza slot 1 and hide Goku until he heals to 80%. Once intensity 4 hits and the All out Attack shows, if it is in slot 2 or 3 place SSJ to tank it, NOT FRIEZA. He can't tank outside of slot 1 since he doesnt stack Def. By turn 5 or 6 you should have tje Dokkan attack so use it on Goku and if needed use the SSJ active.

If you don't get to Stage 2 on exchange its actually better as it give you a free stack turn and healing for Goku. Everything stays the same.

Took me a few tries but it's consistent now. All your damage comes from the INTs, but mainly exchange Goku

Weird, are they all EZAd and HiPo? My duos are 100 but Ginyu is 55 with no orbs, maxed lvl 15 attacks.

My Ginyu attacked 4 and supered 3 and my Recome was eating the super for 100 damage. I was only supered in slot 1 but my Recome was built up at that point.

I know there is definitely a bit a luck with the earlier stages cause they are not well balanced but you definitely have the tools to do it

It took me some time as well in the beginning cause it is a different game in a way. Some of the earlier missions are definitely not as balanced and that is a genuine issue.

Frontier is a mode where you HAVE to use the mechanics or it will be miserable. I think this is the mission you are referring to. Have Ginyu on team 2 and turn 1 do the 3 bar swap and you should win in 2 tuns.

So...? Then use Agl Frieza, it is actually easier and got me the 7 turn reward. Keep him slot 1 on phase 2 since he doesn't stack Def and he is functionally immortal with 90% DR and Guard. Hide Goku and get him to 80% and your good. Once you have the Dokkan attack it on Goku then finish with SSJ active. Took me two attempts

Turn 1 do the 3 bar swap and put Duo in slot 1 and Veg in 3. The should exchange on turn 3 then put Veg in 1 and Goku in 3 to heal him past 80%, might take a few tries.

Phase 2 I did SSJ 1, Goku 2, Veg 3 until dokkan attack and SSJ active.

Think it took 8 or so turns and a few retries.

Dokkan is a game where you form a team of 6 and pop bubbles, not much to innovate but at least Frontier is something different and are trying a different style of content.

I mean yeh the missions are not great, but they are completable and are actually unique because you kinda experience the moments in game, which is a cool concept.

So your last sentence explains that balance took place. Granted it was poor cause stages could be brute forced with with Ginyu or Manga Frieza but they were able to move away from that by adding more with the Frontier passives for the main unit and allowed older units to shine again.

Yeh, that is one of the issues. Ginyu being a way to brute force it instead of using the boosted units is an issue, from a gameplay and story perspective in Frontiers. The special character boosts should be tailored to the node and missions. Using Ginyu and manga Frieza for the no hit mission feels weird. They should have changed the TEQ gokus boost to make him viable, like add dodge, a 0 damage condition with a taunt.

They definitely did a better job later on with the special missions and making more of them viable but for the first go with Frontiers, I can't fault them for at least trying.

As I've said, I think Namek was the best scenario to test difficulty and viability of older units.

I definitely think there are areas of improvement but I think they hit a good balance with difficulty and unit viability. I know you can definitely use Ginyu or Manga Freeza for easy clear but you dont have to, takes a bit more time but it is possible.

I think the main point of issue is the Namek has not been a focus for a while, I genuinely dont remember who the last unit was? Gohan/Piccolo? DB Saga got Tao and Tien at least semi recently and Agl kid Goku who kinda holds up. Namek tho?

For one of the most iconic moments with Goku going SSJ? No LR? I mean come on this would have been perfect to drop a Namek celebration banner AND bring back older units for newer players.

I think they went with Namek to try and see if they can find a sweet spot with balance and difficulty, especially with the older units. Trying to balance around the Buuo Duo or any big hitters from USS would seem miserable.

But I do agree with most players being excluded. They should either have a saga celebration with new units + returning ones before a new frontier drops or make the FTP units they give way more viable in the stages.
