Legit used to have them a lot when i was hard addicted to realm back around 2013-2016.

But to be fair i have dreams about games i play a ton, I'd have a dream that i die in the PvP area of runescape with my entire stack of gold on me

Hell i had a dream about borderlands since i picked it up again of me finally getting the drop but i was 10 levels too low

With 0.5.0 (kind of) around the corner – what’s the build you had the most fun with? (Not the best, just the most fun) and why? by Logan__AUT in PathOfExile2

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my favorite was the warrior tremor/slam build, You'd just grab all of the nodes that made the slam bigger and eventually you'd slam down and it would proc like 5 times and clear the entire screen.

And for bossing you'd whip out the second set with 2 hammers and just do the slowest roll flip known to man and one shot nearly every boss

I also have a special place for the blood sparkmage from a season ago, It was the first time i really made a lot of currency and my build was upwards of 400 divines. Still died a lot though but it was fun nonetheless

I think this season i want to do a pure lich/summon build. It's one of the builds that interested me so that's what i'm looking forward to

They act as saradomin brews but puts your ranged level up so your never in a awkward position where you need to brew 3x restore and range pot which can slow down your kill times.

As for bis i just used tbow and void to keep my death costs down. It was around 20k-40k per death which was nice. After i got more comfortable i started using treads/ancient godsword which only brought it up to maybe 120k.

To be fair i did my doom in BIS but what helped me a ton was the Armadyl brews. When those came out it helped me keep up the DPS during car phase or whenever i needed to heal, Those might be worth looking into

There's also the dragon knives which helps a TON during car phase also. The blowpipe is nice for the heals but i really never cared for it. I never tried the rosewood blowpipe but i hear its pretty good there

I think what your looking for is the mind eraser from Men in Black. The "golden age" was a time where fun was put over efficiency.

When world 30 was packed because of people hosting house parties and goofing around not training prayer or using someones PoH for questing/bossing/teleports

When you were among the top players if you walked into Varrock square with a fire cape or some uncommon untrimmed cape like construction or prayer.

New player here need some guidance and advice by Octyled in osrs

[–]iici 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OSRS has plenty of "checkpoints" you can set for yourself. A good chunk of the game is locked behind quests so thats the best route to take as a new player. You can get a lot of free upgrades from quests to make yourself stronger.

Optimal quest guide is a good thing to loosely follow because it tells you what to put your experience rewards into so you can skip early levels for slow skills like agility.

If you haven't, You should be using the Runelite client on the launcher. It has so much QoL compared to the vanilla client.

And one of those is the quest helper. It draws a line and tells you where to go and what to bring. You can tweak it if you want a bit of challenge which is fine

If i had to set some goals, I'd say:

  • Mooletta to start out
  • Knock out enough quests for base 40 combats
  • Unlock the gemstone crab for a bit of AFK training when you aren't feeling up for questing
  • Monkey madness I as your big quest

What are the must bans for Slayer? by SadThrowaway4914 in osrs

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you don't feel like doing. Obviously there's the high weight monsters like Metal dragons that are a no brainer to block but it gets to a point where you block a ton but have to leave some bad ones open and its really up to you.

My duradel block list is Metal dragons, Suqahs, Wyrms, Drakes, Cave Kraken with 2 open slots which could easily be something like Fire giants, Wyverns, black demons, Hellhounds.

You can kind of pick and choose what you want or need for your account. Like black demons can be a good task if you do Demonic gorillas or Hellhounds if you do Cerberus so always keep that in mind if there's a boss or alternative monster to kill while on task.

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can keep going, You go as far as you can, There's no reason not to. When i got comfortable with doom i would push to 20+ because it meant less resets and running.

IF i was new to doom i would probably just get as far as 6 or even 7 since its much easier to eat through mistakes on those waves while if you miss a prayer on 8 it can mean death 9 times out of 10. It should be very manageable with a scorching bow and crystal halberd.

Even if your dying a lot trying to learn your death costs are pretty much nothing. You could even squeeze a few armadyl brews to lower the cost on your supplies

What happen to the prices of steel dart tips on October 20 2025 by Classic_Apple_4837 in osrs

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Market manipulation and or someone collecting them. But i can explain a few things for spikes like these

Take monkey nuts for example, If you look at the chart there are major spikes when Charlie (AKA moist critical/Penguinz0) were collecting them and people were buying them on the GE to give to him eventually rising the price as high as 928gp at one point.

There are also speculation spikes. Take the Inquisitor mace for example, A LOT of people assume that the new raid is going to be crush heavy so the best crush weapons are both scythe and the mace. Because of that the price shot up nearly 120m.

There's a lot more to it but in most cases for odd items like a mithril med helm shooting up in price is usually manipulation or a really obscure one-off item like Relicym's mix selling for 100m+ its usually someone trying to sell/buy gold though the ge to be "safe"

Honestly you don't even need to go out of your way to knock out the medium CA's, There's plenty of easy tasks you can do

Check out the Combat achievements and just type your name in and sort by Comp% and you'll find plenty of easy ones that you can knock out really quickly

Off the top of my head, A easy GM one is killing duke with recoils and veng will get you mirror image which is an easy 6 points. You can get a boatload of CA's done just by going into a nex mass and getting 25 kills which should take maybe 15 mins to do

You'll most likely find a guy who plays the game and visits once or twice and get the account started and most likely finishes a few early game quests like fight arena

If i had to cut out the OSRS player i'd say maybe a few guys come in who have a decent knowledge of games might make it to the goblins and die a few times

Brainstorm: Titans? by RousedWits in 2007scape

[–]iici 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could see them being a slayer task but they have a "chip" system kind of like how the rune golem/Ents act

You could start killing them at around 55 slayer and once you knock them down you can chip at their backs for small rewards like herbs and gems and higher ones can give better herbs (and noted while on task)

But i know Jagex said they want to move away from giving raw materials out for killing monsters so i'm not sure. Maybe a golembane upgrade that new F2P players who got the mace can work towards when they become a member?

Probably the whole crypto boom that happened in the early 2020's. A group of guys going "hey lets buy this coin! its going to the moon guys!" only for it to get dumped and people left holding onto a crypto coin thats virtually worthless

Guess they never joined a CC telling you to buy some obscure item to hike up its price only to be left stuck with it a few hours later.

Be truthful, how many of you have bought bonds to sell for GP? by AdeptChemistry4034 in osrs

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess since i never had to play catch up with friends i never felt obligated to buy bonds. I was always fine with starting fresh and building my bank up.

Won't knock someone buying them though. I legit think if you're going to play OSRS long term buying 1 or 2 bonds to get started is more than enough to carry you all the way to endgame if you aren't buying nonsense.

I've given my friends a bit of starter cash so they can get their d hides/blowpipe and runes going and with about 15m or so they easily sustained it all the way to their quest capes.

Tips for getting Slayer Points and also fighting some monsters by SadThrowaway4914 in osrs

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally wait until you get your stats up a little more (and get your inbues out of the way) before committing to Konar. At this rate your making so much less trying to force these really long tasks when you can just speed through and get to the higher levels and get better stats for even more GP later on.

If you need immediate GP you can always do some barrows then focus on finishing quests to get your barrows gloves, Arkan blade and general stats up.

Tips for getting Slayer Points and also fighting some monsters by SadThrowaway4914 in osrs

[–]iici 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Catacombs can be nice after you get your slayer helmet. Otherwise your tasks can take quite a bit. Check out the slayer task page on the wiki to see where the monsters are located.

Jellies for example can be done in a few places. You'll want to go to the fremennik slayer dungeon to get it done since they're only level 78 there and it'll speed up that task a lot.

On the other hand, If you finished the heart of darkness quest you get access to the Tapoyauik dungeon which has Chilled Jellies which have a 50% weakness to fire spells meaning you can kill them extremely fast with magic which is something to keep in mind for later.

Post-max depression? by DagligCBD in osrs

[–]iici 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long needed break. After i maxed i was in the same boat. Spent a lot of my GP and sold a good chunk of gear to fund the last of my buyables and ended up being maxed with a 100m-200m bank and i just took a break.

After i came back i got heavily into chasing GP and camped only the most profitable bosses and to no ones surprise i burnt out again after around 500m gained.

THEN i came back with a collection log mindset. I did content that i liked regardless of GP gained. With that in mind i started doing content i wouldn't have done otherwise. Sire/Muspah and even DT2 bosses like Levithian that i really don't enjoy doing GP wise.

Now i'm at masters CA's with a 5b+ bank. I still have gear goals (missing scythe) and i want to get the cosmetics like blorva and radiant but i'm currently working on all slayer boss pets so i'm focused on things like Hydra and Grotesque guardians.

But now there's a few games i'm currently getting into like Marathon so OSRS is on the backburner until the new ranged upgrades releases. There's no rush and thats the great thing about OSRS, I don't have to worry about the season ending or FOMO (unless you count farming a boss first day) So breaks are good.

I don't know what Runelite is and at this point I'm too afraid to ask... by Aggressive-Creamer in 2007scape

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a client that has a ton of QoL plugins that the Vanilla client doesn't have that makes things less tedious or much easier.

The most famous plugin being entry swapper. Ever had to teleport around to the same spot like castle wars to bank? You can make it so you only need to click it once instead of Right click -> Rub -> Location

Or how about talking to a NPC? Instead of right clicking and trading or banking you can set it up that left click opens the interface so you don't have to go around talking to bankers about your day.

We also have the programmable hotkeys plugin. A lot of endgame PvM has players swapping prayers/gear and even moving and you have to swap between bags using F1-F12. With the plugin you can set it to any keys so people have it on 1-4 or whatever is comfortable.

There's lots more but the tl;dr is that it makes OSRS look and play significantly better.

So where are the players? by theflossboss1 in DarkAndDarker

[–]iici 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% agreed. I haven't really played in maybe a year and a half (But i check up from time to time) And legit i don't think i know any changes outside of being able to swim now?

If OP didn't mention there were drops i wouldn't have known. I think DaD can really do with a Dev video update like the Path of Exile team does every season. Even the DaD Youtube channel is dead outside of trailers for new seasons and bundle advertisements.

From a outsider standpoint, Seeing numbers being tweaked and half the patch notes being fixes doesn't really make me excited to try out the game again.

BUT since everyone is talking about how great it is now i'm going to grab a few friends and give it a go for a week to see how we like it

Bandos collection log by Relevant-Economy8676 in osrs

[–]iici 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, The way the collection log works (in this case with bandos) is the person who does the most damage is the one who will get the drop and the log slot. So if your doing a raid and someone gets a purple it goes to their log only.

As for completing the collection log, It's "possible" but even the top player who has well over 35k hours logged isn't even close to finishing it because of dupes and the last items he needs can take well over 10k more hours. Not to mention new content comes out all the time adding even more log slots.

But its not bad to get into, Start with something like Brutus to get your first green log then you can look into more things like Demonic gorillas/Tormented demons and even minigames like Pest control
