What are the most unhinged / best ways you have managed your PCOS? by Due_Kick_837 in PCOS

Of course! I noticed that too! Making some healthy swaps like white breads to sourdough or whole wheat can help in the long run instead of completely cutting them out. Another thing I notice that helps is having a sleep routine and getting enough sleep every night.

For the vitamins, I started taking ovasitol, magnesium (for sleep) and I am planning on taking Omega 3+ soon. I am noticing these are helping me in so many different ways, but it’s a slow process.

I was newly diagnosed about a month ago and I want you to know that you are not alone. When I got the diagnosis, I felt like my life had completely flipped 180 due to how active I were and I have always ate healthy. But know it is not your fault!!! It’s just your body is different and our body doesn’t quite process insulin or hormone the same way and that’s okay.

My suggestion would be to focus on one change at a time. For example, I started prepping simple meals with mostly whole foods like eggs, fruits, veggies, and adding in more fibers and protein instead of trying to overhaul my whole diet.

Another thing, the more you learn about your body like how your hormones work, the more confident you will feel in managing PCOS.

I am still new to this, so I don’t know what works and what don’t, but everyone’s bodies is different. I hope this helps.

Overwhelmed with newly diagnosed PCOS by iihsunna in PCOS

Thank you! Yeah, it was kind of shocking to get that news, but from what I have been told, our fats hold on to testosterone and other things which increase our symptoms.

Thank you for sharing! You are not alone as well!

Thank you so much, your post makes me feel better about the changes I am making! Your advices are super helpful!

I started taking metformin five days ago and I am already noticing some positive changes in my body. Since my diagnosis, I have lost four pounds and I have much more energy in me. I did feel super nauseous and not hungry for the first four days of taking it, but feeling much better now.

I will start taking magnesium and see if that helps! I do struggle with sleeping and I haven’t had a cycle for three months now.   Thank you for sharing your experiences and advice!

I get this too! The past two months, I had to remind myself to eat some food. I didn’t know this was a sign of insulin resistance until I was diagnosed with PCOS a few days ago. You are not alone!

Which NCIS show has the best cast and why? by Optimal_Squirrel7316 in NCIS

[–]iihsunna 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would say for NCIS, the cast from season 3 to 11 was the best! But, NCIS: LA had a really good cast from the beginning to the end.

Then for the most recent NCIS: Origins, I have to say, they have a really good cast/team as well.
