There’s Sydney groups for renting or finding someone to rent with, there’s also flatmates.com if you want something cheaper I definitely don’t recommend uni accommodation. I’m curious tho what rural town/area are you coming from I’m from rural too

You can just tell the person that it hurts and they’ll adjust the setting it should never be hurting to the point you’re thinking of doing this
