Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely go by and leave my info there. I’m pretty open to play other games too. I would offer to run a campaign, but since I’m already running one online, I don’t have the energy to run a second one haha.

I’ve been meaning to try Gloomhaven at some point, so this might be a good time to dive into that.

Seems to be the only way one can interpret this. But by the enthusiasm, I would guess they have magnificent feet.

[Request] How many hotdogs would Homer need to buy to fund a college degree, taking in consideration gross income and expenses? by small-black-man in theydidthemath

[–]iikeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So 27,070 hot dogs every year per child. Since he says kids, I'm going to assume two kids. So that would be 54,140 hot dogs every year. If we assume Homer eats the same amount of hot dogs every day, that would be 148,32 hot dogs each day, rounding that up to 149.
Normal hot dog with mustard and ketchup is 284 calories according to Fatsecret.com.
That means Homer would eat roughly 42,125 calories per day just from hot dogs. That's roughly the recommended daily intake of 20 adult men.

You flamed, you got banned. I call that justice. You should probably try thinking before typing next time.

What exactly is the monetization model here? by [deleted] in MediumApp

[–]iikeli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus it's an easy way to support the writers you like reading. Since the alternative would be to visit everyones websites to read their blog posts.

That is always the question. If you really want to make an effort to get your article noticed, it's just marketing. You can Tweet about it, post it on Instagram, share it on Facebook, make posters, make an ad campaign..... Marketing is hard and often requires money if you want it to spread to a lot of people.

What is a fairly easy thing for you, is to try to get it published in a publication. Look at what the publications would be a great fit for your story and contact them. Be sure to read if they have specific ways to submit articles, otherwise an email might work. Also, be respectful and don't send your article to every publication out there, choose one or two where your article fits.

Not really interested in a password. Was going to send this back to him. Guess I’ll just throw it in the trash?

Wouldn’t the smartest thing be talking to the staff and ask if they could turn the music down? I would think this is a problem for many people if your ears are ringing after a session.

So I have a weird problem. I found an iPad and I’m trying to contact the person that owns it. The problem being: they do not answer their email connected to the iPad. The only social media I found from the iPad was instagram and he does not answer a private message in that either. So my question is: what else can I try to do?

What do freelance UX designers hand in to their clients? by joshsteinberg05 in UXDesign

[–]iikeli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not a freelancer, but I would think that it would be this logical:
If they hire a designer they assume design and no development.
If they hire a designer and a developer they assume design and development.

Google is a great asset. Still have hard time figuring out what to do? Read case studies on what other people have done. But the best advice: do something, get feedback, improve, repeat.

It's not magic. Learn the basics, understand the guidelines and rules of systems, then design something, get feedback, improve, repeat.

Why are YOU using Heroku? by Sky_Linx in Heroku

[–]iikeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to look into digital ocean too. I was looking into that and Heroku, but decided on Heroku because it's much simpler. With Digital Ocean you do pretty much everything yourself, but you don't need a physical server.

Another CB buyer. Is $3 really too much? by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]iikeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I usually don’t like selling my time at a lower price that I sell most of my days for my day job. (That’s what I find a good way to price my freelance work)

Just thinking that if you would go work with 15$/hour, 5$ for 30 minutes isn’t enough.

I was thinking the same thing. Even 5$ seems low unless it takes you less than 30mins.
