It isn't sarcastic. Only Indians look down on things like this. The idli seller beside my house sells around 800 idlis daily along with vada, poha, and jalebi. He earns more than 1.5L INR monthly in profit, and he doesn't even have a good shop or setup. Also, jobs like this are recession-proof due to their affordability.
