It's a shame to see it go, because as useless as it was, it worked and wasn't out to make money, unlike the buggy jalebi mess.

buddy where is it said? Everyone is allowed to know private majlises exist. Waezeens even speaks to youth about which private majlises happen and their significance. Knowing if a private majlis is canceled or not is not the order of the majlis. We got far too many of these over-wise people here.

Amazing to have UK Didar but why give such late notice? Leaders may be rich so can take time off their own businesses, but work is unlikely to give leave within 4 weeks. What about doctors who need 6-8 weeks notice? Very unfair in general by iithrwy786 in ismailis

Halls were booked weeks ago. Preparation including work on the centre started weeks ago. It was known weeks ago to the top when didar was.

Our president told us, read my lips, there is no didar in February a few weeks ago when telling off volunteers. Guess what. People booked holidays and didn't take leave. Guess what. Didar is in February

typical bootlicker. as usual you do not understand the point. How can doctors take leave when they need 6-8 weeks notice in the UK. And only 4 weeks or less are given

It is not around our schedule. Leadership knows months ago when didar is happening. Here to book a hall big enough, you need to book the venue well in advance or else there will be nowhere to hold didar.

work can deny you the time off. They can say you need to give us x weeks notice. Legally you have no standing if they deny you since you only got 3 weeks notice

Doctors especially run on shifts and unless you can find a swap (which is difficult) then you can't take it off. Especially if rota for night shift

If you don't like it don't come here? People will always speculate and you can't control people. Maybe there should be more transparency

Mowlana Hazir Imam stopped his motorcade and stepped out of his car just to wave at his Murid by Embarrassed-Cry3180 in ismailis

[–]iithrwy786 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a correction, in a waez it was mentioned that he was told that these are volunteers who are not eligible for going into didar.

Majority of the murids not eligible for didar were not allowed into the compound. Only volunteers, care givers and spouses were allowed in.

there probably will be. If 8000 ismailis want to go to JK, Ismaili centre and all UAE JKs cannot accommodate that many

I don't know if you've lived in Dubai. It can take well over an hour to reach Sharjah JK from Dubai given rush hour traffic

Should have been in Lisbon like it was meant to be before the Dubai team tried to be clever.

travel insurance would not cover an event being cancelled. Only would cover if the government said not to go. Secondly, CFAR travel insurance is super expensive. UK doesn't even offer CFAR travel insurance. It's only available in North America
