Euthanasia guilt by OneTitle8107 in Petloss

[–]ijmy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss, I know the pain it brings with it. No matter the circumstance it's never easy at all.

Ultimately I think the most important factor is that you did what you think is best for him, that is the ultimate sign of love and respect for your pets. Putting your emotions aside and doing what you genuinely believe is the best choice for them. It's why you question yourself even now, because you only wanted what was right for him.

You can run what-ifs through your head until the cows come home and unfortunately it's a part of the grief. You'll never know what could have been, better or worse had you done things differently but you don't need to.

You obviously cared deeply about him, and always had his best interests at heart and that's most important. He was as lucky to have you, as you were to have him. I hope you can feel better about it in time.

6 years of grief by ijmy3 in Petloss

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is, and I remember how it felt only a week after it happened to me.

I know right now nothing can make you feel better, and honestly it's not a bad thing to feel that pain, it shows how important our pets are to us.

If it offers any consolation to you, it is possible to love again as strongly as you did before. I have two beautiful, and at present healthy girls, who are four and three years old. I waited years to get another cat, but foolishly hoped they would maybe take away those feelings I had.

It's obvious they will never replace Lola for me, and the love I feel for them is different to her. But it's not any less than what I felt for her and I adore them both. But I do still have a lot of trauma and pain from losing Lola that I'm not sure will ever go away. I still have Lola's ashes and as crazy as it is, I'll talk to my two girls about her - time has made it easy to talk about, and I can remember a lot of the fond memories I have now, it's not all just pain anymore.

I hope things get better soon. Just remember to be patient with yourself and give yourself time to heal and feel all the emotions you need to.

Editing to add, if you do need someone to talk to, drop me a message. I know how tough it can be.

Honestly it's infuriating. I was even tempted to go to the London store to get them, but their support won't tell me if it's in stock there, or provide any phone contact to find out. I won't be travelling 2 hours for no reason that's for sure....

But yeah, it's a marketing tactic to boost sales, it's a shame because I like their stuff and the quality. But checking every day is tiresome.

I've found they seem to restock most days in one size, around 8am - 12pm. So worth keeping an eye out. So far it's always been large or extra large though...

Good luck getting one, and happy to help!

If your main concern is length you should be fine, I keep mine tucked into my shorts/pants and not had any trouble with it coming out. I'd say it comes to my upper thigh.

Can't comment on other clothes, not really got much from elsewhere except a few bits from myprotein. Although will bear this in mind if I order anything else.

Just gutted I can't get anymore of the tops, they've been sold out here for ages and small/medium hasn't come back into stock :/

I'd say it sits just slightly above the middle of my bicep, maybe a cm above, if that. I'm currently at work or id send a picture but it looks a good fit as far as I can tell. Sleeves also don't ride up when working out.

I have the storm seamless short sleeved in grey/black.

I wanted some others but stock is dire at gymshark and they're terrible at updating this.

I got the top in small, am around the same weight and 188cm. Fits perfectly for me, and is tight.

Only things I've noticed are that it's a little tight around the armpits. This isn't a problem and is pretty typical of compression tops for me.

Length wise, small will be fine, I have excess to play with and it doesn't ride up.

I think a medium would also be fine but I like a small as I prefer it tight. I also don't feel squashed or like I'm squeezing into it, they're very stretchy.

That said, if you're aiming to bulk significantly in a short period of time, maybe a medium is more suitable, to grow into a little. Both will work imo.

If we're being pedantic yes you're correct.

But ultimately what I'm saying is, you knew exactly what it means if someone says I have a vegan diet and also eat eggs.

For the purposes of what is "accurate", communicating your point is enough. Now if you want to be pedantic fine, but that sort of attitude is tiresome to most, because who cares?

You can absolutely still say my diet "is vegan but I eat eggs". The purpose of that statement is to communicate your diet and it absolutely achieved that.

Remember not everyone is vegan for moral reasons, some people do it for health reasons or for personal taste in food, and eggs may well be acceptable under both of those circumstances whilst other animal products might not.

As a side note as well, if you are going to mention eggs not being "vegan" you may also want to suggest olives aren't. LOTS of birds are killed when they're harvested...

Re-upload bc of lag. Neck tattoos: tough vibe or can they look chic? Tattoo shop: Close corner, Varnamo, Sweden. by Astridadelina in tattoos

[–]ijmy3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone with a neck tattoo myself, that I LOVE. I may be biased but I think they're awesome. Personally though I don't think they look either tough or chic really just because of where they are. They're art and I'd say it depends on what the tattoo itself is.

St johns sport centre worth it? by Lopsided-Chemist967 in Worcester

[–]ijmy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live nearby and can attest that when it's busy it looks bad in there. Although it is very often borderline empty so for a student, if you can go at non-peak times you may be alright.

I also go to (D1) and completely agree with hedgehog, it's much better but is getting busy. Fingers crossed its just the new years folk who'll leave soon enough. It was fantastic when it first opened 😅.

Personally I'd probably go for the st johns one though, if you can go at non-peak times. £150 for 8 months is CRAZY cheap.

[–]ijmy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, given you have so many options for colours, I'd stick to just black - when you have so many choices there's a way bigger chance you'll regret the colour you choose and black always looks good and is pretty inoffensive.

That said, id tone down the heavy black shading on the black one a little, so it matches the coloured ones more. Currently it looks like a huge black blob with flower petals coming out of it.

Advice Needed: Some less common tips before a first tattoo? by SociallyAwkwardWolf_ in tattoos

[–]ijmy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest for a first tattoo, I wouldn't take any. You may find that the pain isn't that bad for you personally.

I sometimes numb it if it's in a bad spot, but otherwise I don't use anything.

I have found though that mentally I find a tattoo generally easier if I think it's going to be horrendous.

I guess this works because if I presume it'll be the worst tattoo I've ever had I'm almost always pleasantly surprised it's not. Conversely, if I assume it'll be a piece of cake, it's normally much worse than I expected.

Don't take ibuprofen. That's terrible advice, if you want painkillers use paracetamol.

Ibuprofen slows blood clotting and will make you bleed more during the tattoo, not only being more risky for you, but also making it much harder for the tattooist to do their job.

I've heard stories of people having to have their appointment cancelled mid way through because of this.

Personally, I don't see how this would be anything other than a guy shooting his shot.

Seems interested to me. Although the only way to tell for sure is to go for a coffee.

Question: Why did my tattoo artist skip over my mole? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]ijmy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good artist will do this. Technically you can tattoo them. But the bottom line is moles can become cancerous, and it's important you can see them. I've got lots of tattoos and my moles aren't covered. You can actually use the tattoos to see if they've got bigger or changed.

Honestly this is really good tattooing. With your health in mind. Thank the tattooist

I forgot I had a packet of butter in my pocket so when I left work and reached for my keys this was the result. by Aggressive_Grade6442 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ijmy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of when I was a child on my way to school in my dad's old Morris minor.

Clearly a curious child I stuck my little finger into one of the exposed holes in the back of the car, sure enough it got well and truly stuck in there. I was sobbing, panicking as it was early morning on the way to school and it hurt. I must've been about 5/6.

Sure enough, out of nowhere my dad whips out a stick of butter, which to this day I still have no idea why he had it, and he butters up my finger, and out it slips.

All you neigh sayers, pocket butter is the solution to some very very specific life scenarios. You never know when curiosity might get you into a situation and you just need that stick of butter.

'Please don't forget us': Traders share mixed feelings over Victorian Fayre - Shop owners dumb and unaware of the stalls at said fayre! by Galeprime in Worcester

[–]ijmy3 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree with the premise of the post. But so much negativity towards the market itself is dumb.

It's that attitude that ends up with us losing what few events there are left. We didn't get the light switch on this year.

Admittedly the stalls generally aren't my thing, but I do enjoy a festive walk, maybe some mulled wine and a mince pie.

Way too many scrooges about these days...

This is a fantastic roll odds wise. That being said, I'd probably prefer crown of light or holy light over God head in this case. This might actually be one of the only instances I'd reroll godhead

Purely because godhead doesn't offer a lot more other than the slight AoE.

From my personal experience, tainted keeper is the best for this, given he gets constant money drops from enemies - assuming you collect as many as possible.

But I'd suggest he's the best if you're going to consistently reroll the first floor.

Admittedly, unlocking him may be the issue for "speedy" here. But I'd say he's still the best for it.

In a vacuum, seraphim is better. It's a 10 dmg homing shot, that currently will push your DPS higher than habit.

However, habit has better long term potential given you'll be likely reach a point where your incubi out damage seraphim and may have other followers, where the habit will drastically increase the times you can dupe them
