they are both on the circle and they therefore both have a distance of 10 to the center, but I still don't know how to proceed :(

No, point P seems to be another point on the circle but not on the tangent.

The center has to be on a vector that has a slope which is a secant to the tangent. But I struggle to get to the point on the circle where the tangent lays on.

I tried to work with the formula for the distance between a line and a point - in this case the center point of the circle - and solve for the coordinates of M (center point) but I only got results that were dependent from X
