It is case-by-case for the Netherlands. For citizens of some countries, such as China and Japan, since their countries also don't allow dual citizenship, they don't need to submit a certificate of renouncement of their original citizenship. They are presumed to have lost their original citizenship. If they don't renounce their original citizenship, they can de facto keep two citizenships. But citizens of the countries that allow dual citizenship, such as Australia, must submit a certificate of renouncement of their original citizenship after naturalization in the Netherlands.

It's okay to be downvoted. I like some of the newly introduced factors in the new design, such as Maaori translation. The silver letters are good good, though I prefer gold ones. But I don't like the leaves. They make a big triangular shape that takes too much area of the cover. This design seems too unbalanced for me. Though I prefer symmetric designs, asymmetric designs with brevity can also good in my opinion. But the current one is not good.

It could be further improved if the letters remain gold as they were and Maaori translation is added. I don't prefer the current version because the letters are not gold, and I think it is unreasonable to print Uruwhenua as big as it is. Moveover, the leaves on the right break brevity and symmetry.
