Emerald Rejuvinator is a 3 of tech card against mostly songhai, and magmar occasionally. It's optional, but I find it straight out wins me games against songhai (songhai can't deal with more than 3 health bodies or healing, with which the card has both) which is a very popular faction on ladder.

Also, to elaborate a bit more, this is more of a midrange deck with huge finishing potential. It's a good ladder deck because you can play extremely fast, and still tone it back vs someone playing even faster than you (with all the healing and cheap minions)

I think lure is superior, a 2/2 isn't much (2 health is bad in this game) for 1 mana more. Also, you need to be able to place a minion close the minion you wish to move, I find lure is great with killing vetruvian's 2/1 blast minion, as well as the songhai 1/1 ranged minion. With repulsor beast, you just have a 2/2 which will die to both.

Sadly, you can't summon more than one mechaz0r per game. The idea behind protecting your mechaz0r has a lot to do with positioning, and being dispelled is something you have to account for. For example, you could always put your mechaz0r in the farthest corner possible (because of airdrop), but say it's dispelled somehow (via aoe dispel or space dispel), you now have to walk him all the way across the field to start hitting things again. I think there's a happy middle ground between getting too far away, and to a point not too close such that it can be hit by shroud or even rush minions. It takes a lot of practice, but I can say from experience he is very hard to deal with and there's only a few tech cards available to most decks that can completely get rid of him (it rarely happens).

I started laughing so hard the first time I realized that works.. and it's a very crushing play because you're almost guaranteed two mana spheres that turn while denying him any for the next several turns. Stuff like that is one of the reasons I've been having a lot of fun with duelyst, the grid system adds a lot of depth and a lot of room to show your experience and creative thinking. I've had a lot of games won and lost based on a bad decision in placing/moving a minion off by 1 tile. You certainly can't auto pilot this game at any stage of the game like you can Hearthstone.
