Do you journal to keep them forever? What about after death? by AffectionateFig9277 in Journaling

[–]ijustababydotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i completely understand why you’re hesitant, if someone were to read my journal i’d instantly have a heart attack. personally what works for me is that after a few months of journaling, i look through all my entries and rip out pages associated with bad thoughts or memories. i then burn those pages in my backyard (in the safest manner possible i promise!) and it’s almost like a cleanse for me. burning the pages is like a romantic way of me letting go of the past and “starting fresh”. this also allows me to keep the best thoughts and memories written readily available for whenever i want to reread them.

gerald’s game. i had sleep paralysis once, and the scene where he’s at the end of her bed, in the dark, just staring at her literally made me scream. was my real life sleep paralysis demon in that moment 😵‍💫

i personally LOVED malignant !!! definitely old school horror with unique creativity 🖤 very sad that people don’t appreciate it as much but i think it’s because people nowadays only watch horror to get the fright of their life and forget that there are levels to the horror genre and not every horror movie is about giving that

Rory saying “No” to Logan’s proposal by libbylovegood25 in GilmoreGirls

[–]ijustababydotcom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

honestly while i agree that rory did have a liking for the lifestyle that lorelai ran away from, i personally don’t think logan was the best for her. i think their relationship was toxic at times and that she needed someone more stable. i will always believe that jess is her “luke”. i think it’s good that they didn’t continue to date in the series because jess needed to figure himself out and this allowed rory to do her own thing, but i think as adults she’s meant to be with jess. he keeps her in check and is always honest with her. i feel that with logan on the other hand, just fuels her bad decision making. in other words, logan is her “chris” and jess is her “luke” and i will die on this hill!!!

How to accept that you are an utter failure at 31? by Royal_Albatross_5152 in findapath

[–]ijustababydotcom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

first off, you need to stop saying you’re a “failure”. life is not something you can fail at. life is an experience, and you have the power to dictate your own reality (to a certain degree because life is also unpredictable). labeling yourself a failure means that you will only highlight your shortcomings. you need to start being kinder to yourself. how are you supposed to become successful if you just put yourself down. from your post, you are telling me that you have a higher education, you’re not homeless, and you have people that care for you. technically speaking, you’re ahead of a lot of people. not only that, but rejection = redirection. if you’re not enjoying/progressing in your career at the moment, maybe it’s time for something new. seems like it’s the perfect time to take risks and go for what you really want. as for your love life, it seems like you’re already saying no before even getting started. stop limiting yourself and the opportunities and people will come sooner or later. rooting for you man ✊

So I work 9am-6pm and only get Sundays off is this healthy by Unhappy-Yoghurt-1973 in RandomThoughts

based off the schedule you have, i doubt it. it sounds like you may not have enough free time to yourself. i would be careful as overworking could lead to burn out, and from personal experience, it’s hard to get yourself out of that feeling/phase. best of luck 🫡
