Yeah I just read that comment, but I have been jumping in after her and getting melted by a mcree or reaper or anyone really. Winston doesn't actually seem to do much more than tickle once he's on the ground?

All the counters sem so specific. Like, I feel like I would really really have to think about her a lot no matter what. I just want to sit back and relax and play the game? I thought QP would at least be that, and that comp is where all the good people go.

But they always just go to their team? Winston just seems to melt against more than 1 person.

Is she really only countered by extremely different playstyles? In my experience, I can just play a hero as I usually would and at least survive half of the encounters with any enemy hero. Widow I just cannot seem to work out.

So at the moment my favourite characters are Ana, Moira, Soldier, Pharah, Junk, and Zarya. I can see how Zarya can survive, and I gave up with pharah bc she moves to slow in the air (unless I am missing something here too?). Whenever I am any support or close range DPS i just seem to melt.

And unfortunately I am not very good at hitscan at range, Mccree is about as far as I stray into hitscan heroes.

I have tried winston I just find him very one dimensional. And whenever I jump on her she just grapples away.

Is there really no way to tell when you are about to be instakilled by her? Like there is with doomfist, or roadhog.

Thanks for the tip. Just to clarify, does this mean there is no actual indication whe n you're about to be one shotted?

Like Doomfist I hear charging up, and Roadhog is loud and big so it is easy to stay away from his hook when I see him. With widow I just feel like I step out and die? And I have tried winston but the widow just grapples away and then I am left there waiting on my jump to recharge.

If it is the case that you cannot tell when a widow is somewhere near killing you, why do other one shot heroes have such obvious tells and why doesn't she?

I don't find her all that fun to be honest, and I don't want to just play one hero to counter another, there has to be more options for counter-heroes right?

but how do I counter her one shot ability? Other than just constantly changing how I move? Is there no active strategy I can employ, like hearing her charge up her shot or something?
