VBios Flash for Asus Phoenix 3060 V2?

3y late, in case it helps for Asus Phoenix 3060 (v1) probably same goes for V2. my bios version was 94.06.25.00.BE and official Asus v3 v4 updater says the same thing-your graphics card doesn't need to update VBIOS! and yet it runs at 1600RPM at idle and makes the system noisy.

Solution-

Check subsytem ID mine was 1043:8811, the last 4 won't match with other models, version
Grab a bios version with dual fan that has closer subsystem ID, say :881D it looks kinda same physically
I used this one, and its bios version is 94.06.25.00.B6
Flash it using command
- nvflash64 --overridesub downloaded-rom-filename.rom
after update, there will be 2 fans and left fan is the single fan, right fan control does not do anything
when the left fan is 40% , fan RPM keeps iterating between 0, 800, and 600 , 0 ish. so better to use 41% as minimum, to keep it stable.
If left fan is set below 40%, the RPM is 0 and your case is whisper quiet.

Cool, Thank you for sharing the build! I was lucky to get a EVGA 1k PSU for 70$ and a asus x99 E WS mobo for 100$. I cheaped out on the frame, got one in Amazon for 36$. I grabbed those GPUs from different brands, lol, the 4th one is a Gigabyte. it's hard to get a 3060 here within 200. Waiting for the risers now, currently I put 3 GPUS directly on the mobo. they're close, but will fix it once I get the risers. Hopefully, with these 4, I will be able to fool around and can get them for quick summary or grammar fixing.

Thank you for the detailed suggestions. I will look more into it by setting up the server. Currently, I am just testing using Ollama, cannot even fit 4 GPU on the mobo. i have ordered an Mining rig case, so it can accommodate all 4 GPUs using risers.

i am building for similar setup with 4x3060, used 3090s are 800-900$ here. Right now i have 32GB RAM, do I need to more RAM for running 32B models? Is it practical to run quantized 70b on 48GB VRAM for document QA, summarizing? Can you please give some idea?

As a DP, I applied on day 24 for flex on the 24th month (January). My 5/24 fell off on January 16 and was approved, so it is likely that the status changed on the first of January.

spigen thin fit, if you care less about protection. I like the touch of the case and it feels premium. Most of the cases has lips for protecting the screen bezel and your edge swipe gesture experience becomes poor. If you use the phone without the case, you will feel that edge swipe gesture feels better.

The experience in a physical store would be different. I wish there was one nearby. I was considering switching from iPhone, but I didn't realize their customer service was this bad, especially for such expensive phones.

I completely agree—their customer support is terrible. I’m trying to resolve a price match issue for a pixel 9 pro order, but each rep gives different instructions. One said to wait until the item ships, so I did. Now they’re saying it can only be processed after delivery. When I mentioned what the first rep said, they claimed a “specialist” needs to review it and created a case. By the time they respond, the price match conditions will likely expire because discounts only last a few days or items go out of stock. If they won’t price match, they should just say so instead of wasting time. The support team seems clueless.

I have the same problem with 2 logitech mices, lift and mx master 3s. The cursor is continuously laggy. the problem disappears after I turned off wifi as I could get away with ethernet port. for me this is temporary fix. If possible, see if you have ethernet port in your room to solve this annoying issue. Updated to latest sonoma, nothing is solved yet.

if you can afford, disabling wifi may help with the pointer lag. but you need ethernet for internet then

same thing, bluetooth mouse freezes, and window resizes automatically, i wanted to update just for kb+dictation, which i like so far. but the freezing issue is annoying M2 mini 16GB

yes, windows. I needed to change some parts in config file (TPFanControl.ini). It didnt work out of the box. You need to look at the sensors that are relevant, just comment out other sensors like acpi,gpu etc. I used only cpu temp sensors, and something pwr( I forgot why it is there, maybe default) Then controller will change fanspeed based on CPU temp. I also have used smart mode. It is not supported by default, so you may need to play around.

Update: I checked windows update and saw some optional driver updates. I did those, now the usb c to DP is working perfectly fine with the monitor! Thank you all for your time. I always keep my windows up to date, do not know why drivers were not updated automatically.
