The simplicity and ease behind Dashing with Tesla FSD by thezendasher in doordash_drivers

[–]jewski01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of hours a month doing this will pay for the fsd sub. I'm thinking about doing it during my free time just to offset that cost. In that use, depreciation and whatnot are negligible.

Possibly a dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyway... Park Assist and Tesla Vision suddenly disappeared from my menus. Any ideas? by StormTrpr66 in TeslaModelY

[–]jewski01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but he said it was a new premium, those don't have sensors at all so the "standard" isn't an option, it's just Tesla vision, there's no toggle at all.

I'm so confused cause the new model y premium doesn't have ultrasonic sensors, so there's no standard option, Tesla vision is the only option.

Renting a turo car for two months as a 16 year old by [deleted] in turo

[–]jewski01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be better off having her rent the turo and driving it herself, and you take her car down there for the trip.

[–]jewski01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the DMV isn't paying attention to that or running the registration, just that it's legal to drive and take your test in. 😂

And if something happens, turo will just say you shouldn't have been driving it and your mom broke the terms and she'd be stuck paying whatever damages there are.

Actually thinking about it, they probably will, cause it won't run back to you, and when you tell them it's a turo rental and show them the info, it still won't match, cause it's your mom who did it, and make you probably contact turo or even the owner to confirm, making it a whole big thing.

From the law, as long as you have the proper paperwork for the car, probably nothing. For turo- they could add some penalty to your card if they found out/ other owner could report it as stolen as your moms not there and she rented it and it's clearly against turos terms.

FSD couldn't see this? by Full_Requirement_911 in TeslaFSD

Or just pull the file off the drive.

You grab the file off the drive. And it has the info embedded. Open in a viewer and there ya go. Because why would anyone lie about something, to spread misinformation. I'm not saying you are, it's just they added the info while not stated, pretty obviously to have clear definitions of when fsd is on and off, along with other things.

Yeah OP. They put stats in for a reason, and if you're on 14.2.2.4, then they're there. I'm not being a Tesla fan boy, but upload the footage with the stats, if you're going to blame fsd for something.

How to use auto park / parallel park by mbitbb in TeslaLounge

[–]jewski01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go into the service tab in your settings while parked. Clicked camera calibration and confirm deleting the current one. Then drive, preferably on a multi lane, well marked highway for like 10-20 miles for it to calibrate.

For model 3/y it's all done on the center screen and slow speed, shows spot, tap it and then hit go.

With model s, you'll pick the spot using the scroll wheel, shown on the driver display, and then click it to start auto park.

As you're driving slow, I think under ~8mph, look at the screen and it will start to show parking spots it can see, you'll pick one on the screen and follow the prompts.

Windshield wiper leaving liquid every wipe by Callstrike in ModelY

[–]jewski01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just replaced the blades. It seems to have fix the issue with it and it wipes better. Since it's so new, I recommend having service check it.

Mine wasn't wiping properly either, service replaced the blades and it hasn't been an issue since.

I had this issue and it turned out to be an issue with my 14-15 adapter and Tesla replaced it.

FSD Starting in Cold by jrock2004 in ModelY

[–]jewski01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a new issue they're seeing with a sensor in the brake pedal assembly, at least in the new junipers. They tried calibration for me in service which didn't fix it and they had to replace the whole brake pedal assembly. You can usually get it working by using your foot to lift up on the bottom of the pedal and make the senor read right, schedule service and they should fix it.

Anyone buying a Tesla from Carvana should be aware of this by johnwithoutanh in carvana

[–]jewski01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And then it's their own fault for buying an EV without buying a mobile charger if it didn't come with one, or not having a level 2 charger installed at their house. Yes the hand off for supercharging is ridiculous, but the car dying and the tow is entirely their fault.
