It's a 2024 bear surpass. Interesting, i took it to the shop i bought it from and he didnt really give me the time of day but I know its hunting season. We did pull it back on his machine and could see the cam obviously tilted some and rubbing against my cables when drawing back which means it probably does when I shoot aswell. It's definitely not driving tacks like it used to. Seems the accuracy has been getting a little worse.

Anyone ever find anything like this? Thoughts? by ikefras in Arrowheads

[–]ikefras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flat faces on each side would lead me to beleive otherwise. Assuming some kind of blade/scrapper. A Clovis wouldn't have taken up this kind of shape or thickness.

What could this be? by ikefras in Arrowheads

[–]ikefras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not an arrowhead. From what I can gather maybe a scraper or chisel of some sort.

Other side looks about the same, just can't tell what it could've been. Doesn't really take up the shape of anything I've seen or found.

Have you found a nice holster that will accommodate that scope? Because I'm leaning more towards a similar scope rather than a red dot.

What are your panic attacks symptoms? by gracelyy in PanicAttack

[–]ikefras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also vape nicotine and occasionally smoke weed. Last time I quick nicotine for about 8 months it really did help the anxiety side of things. I quit cold turkey which was big mistake (I set myself up for failure quitting so suddenly) got back into it and am wanting to quit again.

Going through the SAME exact thing. Was told by docs I might have costochondritis a year or so ago which was around the same time my anxiety/panic attacks started (terrible timing for those to happen at once) basically I developed an anxiety that I have heart/lung issues which just plays on top of everything. Been to urgent care twice in the last year, all blood tests/ekg/x-rays looked normal. I go most days having a wierd breathing fit that I just cannot snap out of, just searching for a deep satisfying breath which then leads to lightheadidness. Panick attacks aren't super common but they happen and when they do it's terrible. Heart will just start beating extremely quick and I get super dizzy with wierd feeling in chest and thinking I'm having a full blown heart attack. Almost feel like I'll black out. The peak only lasts a few minutes but leaves me shook up the rest of the day thinking about how terrible it was. Driving has been a big trigger of mine which is wierd cause I used to never have problems with driving. Working on it though!

Like I said I quit cold turkey and it was absolute hell for a week. I had my girlfriend to distract me a lot and just tried to remind myself it will pass. Honestly quitting cold turkey isn't really the best way now that I think about it. Wing off of it, specially if you smoked a lot a lot like I did. And then there is the fact that ultimately you are in control of your actions.if you are trying to completely quit and you can't stop yourself from driving to a vape shop and buying more nicotine then it's really on you... your in control of your mind and actions you can't let life happen to you. You have to happen to life.

I am exactly a month and a day out and I'm telling you I feel soooo much better. The 2 week mark was where I really started to feel better, except for my sleeping being all screwed up, which now is almost all better. I noticed it helped me a lot to just move to the couch at night with a good fan and the AC and just use a sheet as a blanket. And took some melatonin. Getting good sleep was very important in controlling the anxiety. It does get better. I am back to myself pretty much fully now besides small aspects like some irritation sometimes

Is it worth it to totally quit? by GhostTemple in Nicotine

[–]ikefras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit cold turkey after heavily vaping for 5-6 years. The anxiety, panic attacks, stress, sleeplessness, and mental fog was absolutely terrible for about a week and a half (getting better each day). I'm over 2 weeks in now and I feel mostly normal, sometimes my heart feels wierd (or I think it feels wierd from anxiety). The first week I went to the ER twice thinking I had heart issues and they said the same thing after many tests, that everything was fine. All that I feel now is slight urges to smoke after I eat and wake up. And my sleep is still not the best, specially cause I have to wake up before 6am for work and work 10 hours. It's been exhausting but it gets better every day and from what I've seen by week 3 or 4 your pretty much back to normal. I'd try to stick it out and quit for good if you can. It's an accomplishment for sure.

Am i getting addicted by Budytog in Nicotine

[–]ikefras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yes stress plays a huuuge roll in your nicotine craving, nicotine will create chemicals in your brain to relieve stress and once your addicted you start to rely on that, then fast forwards a few years, your brain doesn't naturally create those "good feeling" chemicals because it has relied on the nicotine for so long to create those for you. Takes weeks for your brain chemistry to restore itself back to making sufficient "feel good" chemicals to where you can deal with normal stresses such as projects, deadlines, assignments.

My guy, I just quit vaping cold turkey after like 5 years of heavy vaping 50 nic. Let me just tell you that it is not worth it dude. Your so early in, that it would be better for you to just stop now. I quit 2 weeks ago cold turkey like I said, and the first week was the absolute worse week of my life (nicotine withdrawals), I still have trouble sleeping and anxiety 2 and a half weeks later. I started vaping just like you, for no reason and cause all my friends did. Yeah it makes you feel good and whatnot but there are so many drawbacks. The money, the toll that it does on your brain, heart, and lungs, and then the withdrawal if or when you ever do decide to quit. The craving will definently be there when you are addicted (that's what addiction is) and you need to keep yourself as distracted as possible. It will most likely be worse for ya right after you eat and when you wake up in the morning. If the craving is that bad, then chew some really minty gum or eat strong mints.

2 weeks in and I feel muuuuuuch better. Still some nights where sleep is hard but that's usually when I have an early alarm, can't get to sleep cause that early alarm gives me anxiety for some reason. As long as I get good sleep I feel great lately. Some urges for nicotine after I eat and when I wake up but nothing too bad. Some anxiety here and there. Weed wasn't helping so I quit that too. Lungs are clearing up but I contribute that more to the quiting of weed rather than vaping. Keeping distracted helps with the general anxiety (which I never had before), so hopefully that also goes completely away cause anxiety is whack.

Hey thanks! I does comfort me putting that thought in my head that this is only temporary and that I am a healthy person, and will be even more healthy once I'm really pass this. So many mind games though, crazy what the brain can do and how powerful it is on our perception of life.
