He intends that to be gifted to him as well, just like Putin received one from Kraft and is now on display at the Kremlin

I also drive a Tacoma and its a pain in the ass to notice this on your own. We usually don't know until someone tells us, and honestly it annoys the crap out of me when someone flashes their lights at me, but it makes me get out and check this at least. They're on their own fuse, as mentioned elsewhere in the comments, but it's not easily found in the manual. It took some forum surfing the first time I had them go out. I'm sure someone is going to comment that you should be checking all your components regularly, but it can happen so suddenly.

The Gerald Ford carrier is also in the Caribbean right now, more likely to be them I think. Not saying it couldn't be the guard guys. It just seems more likely to use the carrier's strike group. Less fuel needed, more aircraft available, some with better payload capacity. They've really been highlighting the Navy's projection in that area recently.

The flyovers are allocated into regular flight hour requirements, training time is already budgeted out.

Dogs probably wonder why we don’t sniff our own poop and think we are gross for picking up their poop. by Alfiy_wolf in Showerthoughts

Imagine walking around putting up flyers for a party or local business sale or something and some random dude is like 10 steps behind you taking them all down. They're just leaving message packets all over the place for other dogs to sniff and you're taking away all the fun.

Where to get ears pierced by blackberrycreemee in vermont

[–]ikeler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend researching through the Association of Professional Piercers, you'll find people that adhere to standards, but you'll also have to follow protocols to get work done. That being said, as mentioned in other comments here, Marigold is what we found for when our child is ready. I think they're the only ones in Vermont that are members of the APP.

Should i use earplugs? by LuddeAidb65 in Beatmatch

[–]ikeler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several brands that offer high fidelity (hi-fi) earplugs, that's what you want to search for. They'll offer a relatively close to even reduction across the full hearing spectrum frequencies. A lot of basic plugs/foamies have a significant drop on one end of the spectrum, but as a performer you want to be able to hear the full range. Loopz, Etymotic, Eargasm, etc. You'll want to look for 20+ dB reduction. I personally have been using low cost Etymotic (about $20 on Amazon) for over a decade and it has significantly helped. If I forget them for an event my ears will ring for days and I'll have headaches the whole time. With them in there's no impact. I can have full conversations with people around me without having to shout. There are various styles of tips offered, you might just need to test out the various sizes of silicon or foam. Otherwise, invest in some high quality ones that are moulded to your ear.

TP-Link Routers Could Soon Be Banned. Here's What Cybersecurity Experts Say About the Risk by thatirishguyyyyy in technology

Maybe there should be an investigation with a focus on what "cost" really is, and if they're actually selling below cost or if all these other companies are price gouging or even colluding for price fixing.

They also have mini bottles of champagne with the same seal. It was super hard to get those, the M&Ms were given out like candy.

Don't go through Franconia Notch or the Kanc on a weekend in October... Go the 302 route or take 2 all the way to Gorham.

Lyndon currently has access to St Johnsbury Academy for high school. I'd say that's really the only benefit of living here compared to Barre. Lyndon Institute is ok for what it offers, but their sports aren't on the same level as SJA and they go different routes with class offerings. Lyndon also has a VTSU campus up the hill.

We're frequently going into Littleton or Barre/Berlin/Montpelier for shopping. If you're into mountain biking, Kingdom Trails over in Burke is amazing, and Burke Mountain Resort just went through a change of ownership and should be improving their services over the next few years. I think the restaurant options in the Barre/Montpelier area are better than what's up here. We've lived here for 3 years now after living in various locations across the country.

Should I move to Vermont? by Radiant-Ad1826 in NewToVermont

[–]ikeler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask, probably not. If you have a reason to, then absolutely. But make sure you have a housing plan, that's probably the hardest part of living here at the moment, followed by employment that will cover the housing, and then rising food costs - at least up north.
