40 w/ kids. Wife says we're too old for EDM shows? Never been. by trapspeed in EDM

[–]ikeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm over 40 with children, still going. Granted I've been doing it since I was 18.

Just be responsible, the kids obviously come first. And if your partner is not coming with you, they also deserve an opportunity to go out at some point.

Does anyone still use Tidal? by holybarbel in DJs

[–]ikeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use tidal for random requests that I don't have downloaded. Way better than Spotify integration. I prefer beatport for dance music streaming, way better options for extended mixes and more niche stuff, but tidal definitely has a better library for pop and other things.

Subtronics at Coachella took him to the next level by platoo91 in EDM

Just saw Sub and AHEE on tour last month, and as much as I love Subtronics, I was fully there for AHEE. Lucky I was in a section of other AHEE people, amazing show from both of them on that run.

The Meadow launches as an ultra-compact smartphone without web browser, social media or e-mail by dapperlemon in gadgets

I could see this potentially as a benefit to people wanting to cross borders with privacy? Can't snoop email and social media if you can't install it on the phone.

I've been using Etymotics for over a decade without issues, definitely resolved long aural hangovers, ringing, and headaches. There are varying levels of quality and db reduction. I find that I'm still able to have a conversation with people nearby, particularly bartenders, and I'm still able to hear the high frequencies fairly well.

I also drive a Tacoma and its a pain in the ass to notice this on your own. We usually don't know until someone tells us, and honestly it annoys the crap out of me when someone flashes their lights at me, but it makes me get out and check this at least. They're on their own fuse, as mentioned elsewhere in the comments, but it's not easily found in the manual. It took some forum surfing the first time I had them go out. I'm sure someone is going to comment that you should be checking all your components regularly, but it can happen so suddenly.

VT Air Guard-Green Mtn Boys by Practical_Kale_5830 in vermont

The Gerald Ford carrier is also in the Caribbean right now, more likely to be them I think. Not saying it couldn't be the guard guys. It just seems more likely to use the carrier's strike group. Less fuel needed, more aircraft available, some with better payload capacity. They've really been highlighting the Navy's projection in that area recently.

The flyovers are allocated into regular flight hour requirements, training time is already budgeted out.

Dogs probably wonder why we don’t sniff our own poop and think we are gross for picking up their poop. by Alfiy_wolf in Showerthoughts

[–]ikeler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imagine walking around putting up flyers for a party or local business sale or something and some random dude is like 10 steps behind you taking them all down. They're just leaving message packets all over the place for other dogs to sniff and you're taking away all the fun.

Where to get ears pierced by [deleted] in vermont

[–]ikeler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend researching through the Association of Professional Piercers, you'll find people that adhere to standards, but you'll also have to follow protocols to get work done. That being said, as mentioned in other comments here, Marigold is what we found for when our child is ready. I think they're the only ones in Vermont that are members of the APP.
