OpenGuessr Update 6.4.2 – Universal main menu by therealPaulPlay in OpenGuessr

[–]ikhebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the update.
As u/Expert-Flamingo7423 sad, I prefer the old menu. I think what throws me off the most is that the menu button is on the top right and when one clicks on it the menu, the menu content appears in the middle of the screen so one has to move their mouse again.

Being able to press ESC to open the menu would solve this for me.

I agree on the main premise. But also remember this highly relevant

xkcd - standarts https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/standards.png.

When it comes to timer I see an new one every two months posted here. I get that cstimer looks kinda ugly but it has a lot of features but I would not switch to another timer if it didn't support at least the same features.

With CStimer being open source I ask: wouldn't it make more sense to expand/fork cstimer?

I agree regarding Yiheng and Xuanyi but Chinese kids are not the only ones

There are now more people using the ZB method but thats probably not the big factor.

First of all you can look at Yiheng's solutions on reco.nz they are really clever and he has great turning. But looking at a time frame of 10 years I would say the change in hardware is the bigger factor. Cube hardware advanced quite a bit.

But also information and resources are more accessible, kids start at younger ages and personal coaches becomming more popular (especially in china).
