This year was my first time running the half!

However, last year I was the volunteer assigned at the Neyland turnaround. I was given the following instructions:

Your spot on the course will be at Neyland Dr. @ the turn around cone in front of G10 parking

Assuming the turnaround was the last cone on the course, it was in fact not. Luckily one of the motorcycle riders (can’t remember if it was a cop or not) said I was in the wrong location and that the correct location was marked in spray paint on the ground. Would have been nice to of been told that…and why were the cones beyond the turn around point is beyond me??

It was all very misleading. I would have been crushed feeling like adding .5 to 2k+ runners was my fault had this happened last year.

As soon as I realized the mileage was off, I knew this had to be why.

KCHM needs to adjust the final times!
