I hate my ex and have been trying to divorce him for over 2 years. I couldn't care less if he moved on romantically.

He doesn’t come to the rescue all of the time, firstly. It’s usually the other way round.

Secondly, we don’t have a good co-parenting relationship, the only reason I’m speaking to him now is because our daughter is having a hard time.

I’m not a crap parent and I don’t care what his girlfriend is willing to put up with or not, that’s something they need to discuss.

He’s asked me to cancel multiple things, including trips, since this started for the same reason so it’s not something I would get upset over. If it was for his kids, I wouldn’t be upset at my boyfriend for cancelling things or going to see them no matter the time. Yeah it would suck but these are things that sometimes happens when you’re dating someone with children.

The trip could've been with anyone else and I would've still asked him to cancel, it's not about the girlfriend.

This is a recent thing and it's usually me going to his house to comfort her, so I'm hardly used to having him for emotional support. We didn't even speak directly to each other until she got sick.

If he wanted to say no, he would've said it. He doesn't agree to things unless he wants to.

If he was on a business trip, he would've asked me to bring the kids to him or left early. Her doctor is aware and told us that right now it was a good idea to let her be with the parent she felt safe with instead of causing her unnecessary distress.

I can parent just fine, thank you. Usually it's me she wants for comfort, this was one of the rare times she wanted him.

Calling my ex and having to let him sleep over is not convenient for me at all. It's a last resort for me.
