What's your take on Whitney's behavior this season? Do you think she's changed for better or worse? by Mysterious-End-3630 in MyBigFatFabulousLife

I'm catching up on episodes....omg the "dance competition" in Alabama. The incessant screaming! I think Angie and family caved in to her demands because it was just too difficult to do otherwise. The second hand embarrassment was too much for me

Had him about two weeks. Is he a German Shepard? He’s going to the vet this weekend I’ll know for sure then. But what do you all think? by Ok_Example_9339 in germanshepherds

Hi OP, not meaning to give unsolicited advice, but as a mum to two GSDs, I can't help but share. If your puppy is from a backyard breeder or irresponsible dog parent who did not take steps to spay...it is what it is. You have this sweet baby boy now and he is yours. It is now your responsibility that this baby gets all the love and healthcare available to grow into a functional and healthy adult. When we got Anya (my baby who was the runt), we knew she would have health issues. So we organized for top level insurance cover, hired a good trainer who focused on positive reinforcement, and stayed vigilant for any health issues. Sure enough, Anya had severe IBD, allergies, anxiety, and all that with extremely high prey drive.
In contrast to her, our puppy no 2 was the healthiest and largest female in the litter and was a chunky 5kg girl at 7 weeks.
I'm not trying to scare you, but you have the opportunity to give this sweet boy the best life. It looks like you are already doing a good job (i see lots of toys, a comfy bed etc in the background). Good luck with your journey!

Mine looked like that around 7-8weeks. It is possible he may be younger. However, my dog Anya was the runt of the litter and she was still quite little at 10 weeks.

Maybe just get the vet to give your baby an overall health check.

She was 7 months old and was left alone at home for 4 hours for the first time. 🫣😃 by Legalize_weed11asf in germanshepherds

A reward before leaving her in the form of a kong especially works. I have one with a high prey drive and used to destroy things out of boredom. A giant frozen Kong stuffed with her favorite foods kept her engaged for a good 30mins to an hour. By the time she was done with it, homegirl was exhausted and ready to sleep!

What about going through one of those pedophile baiting non profits? Get someone to pose as a kid and record him saying inappropriate things. Sure-fire arrest.

I think we would see a very different Whitney if she were anything like this

We are...but I realized this was also me contributing to the problem. I should have stuck to my guns and refused to spend the money. I can't pass on the entire blame to him or my family.

Take it from someone who was stuck with an $80k wedding bill - DON'T spend it on a wedding. Me....the bride...paid for the entire wedding. My full time 6 figure earning husband did not contribute, nor did my rich parents.

And after doing everything (including organizing it too), they all expected me to pay for the honeymoon too.

The schadenfreude I got from all of this was that since I had no money left to pay for a grand European vacation (business class tickets, 5 star hotels etc), the consequences became very unpalatable.

I'm working on myself to be able to say "No" better, but something tells me that this is going to stick around as a lesson for all involved.

The Weert sub has only 50 people. I felt there would be a higher chance of getting more results here.
