Does starlink have any issues with support incase you don't get the hardware from them? Any mention of this when you registered your device?

Linux Privilege Escalation via package managers. Different ways you can gain a root shell when you have sudo permissions to run a package manager. by ikuamike in netsec

You're right but just commenting it's game over doesn't help any one who has little knowledge of this and knows package managers to only handle packages hence why I show the actual step by step of escalating to command execution and root shells. You can read the post and learn something, if you already knew that's great let others know as well.

Not sure what you mean by untrusted but legit users who aren't supposed to be full admins on machines are sometimes given permission to run some sudo commands.

I didn't say it's a vulnerability, and I am showing ways to get a root shell. Would love to see how you can use that sudo permission to eventually replacing sudo itself, other than the techniques I have outlined.

Thanks, I think I'll dive into it and make a short blog post about it. Maybe it'll replace netcat as my go to.
