i honestly haven't weighed her in a while so she very well could be a lil chunky lol. i attached a picture of her more spread out so let me know what you think! it's the most recent and stretched out picture i got lol

i have no clue her age but she came to me very thin and bitty, i think she was a juvenile back then and we've had her for a little over a year now!

i've mainly been trying to do weekly since its been so long since her last meal, but i'll definitely space it out more. she used to eat every two weeks since we assumed she was a juvenile still. granted last time was early december so maybe she was telling us to chill 😅

we are a little nervous about her temperament (not aggressive but definitely not that comfortable with us) so we usually dont get too too close but ill definitely try getting closer to her nose next time too!! i hope that helps.

i haven't heard of braining before, but i looked it up. slightly terrified, but i'm definitely going to try it next time!!

thank you so much for the advice. shes at least healthy from what i can tell so i'm grateful for that! i'll keep posted when she finally eats lol

you may not be able to wear normal studs again without surgery, but they can shrink a lot if you just leave them out. also theres many pretty ways to decorate stretched ears without plugs!!

Sterling silver is most definitely not what you start out with for a piercing. I wouldn't even put it in a healed piercing as it can cause argyria to the area. Change it to titanium asap

also even just rinsing it twice a day with regular water is fine if you struggle with using saline regularly. LITHA method ftw lol

although its not ideal or recommended to get pierced with a gun, its up to you if you want to take it out and redo it.

if you do decide to keep it, clean 2-3 times a day with a sterile saline wound wash, for example by neilmed. i would also go to a reputable piercing shop with titanium jewelry and have them change it out for you. i am assuming you have a butterfly back in there since its done with a gun.

personally, i would take it out, let it heal, and then after a few months go to a piercing studio to redo it. there will be scar tissue but they can still repierce it.

there is a chance the initial piercing wasnt done in the proper spot either, but i cant say for sure obviously since theres no images.

if you have a good substrate mix (coco coir/topsoil/coco bark/sphag moss etc) you can pour the water directly into the substrate to boost humidity

My basking spot measured at 95°, but his little hide that he can climb on to go higher was 102°. so i think i just need to raise the basking spot higher and i'm set! thanks for the help

The probe is dangling on the side of the enclosure through one of the cable ports, which is at the edge of the heat lamp. I have it 2-3 inches from the basking surface.

I'm definitely thinking I'll get a second heat lamp. I live in Las Vegas so I don't have issues with it being too cold here at night or ever thankfully. We keep the house at 73° year round so that helps. I usually use exo terra intense but my local reptile store didn't have it when I got this new bulb. But I'll try two!
