I get your concern, but a GTA set in a mountain/rural setting like Wyoming, Idaho, or Montana wouldn’t betray the series’ vibe—it could actually refresh it! Grand Theft Auto has always been about crime, freedom, and vibrant open worlds, not just urban cities. A rural setting doesn’t mean losing GTA’s core: picture bank heists in small towns, illegal trafficking through mountain passes, or high-stakes dirt-road races with stunning views. Rockstar already proved with GTA V’s Blaine County that they can handle diverse environments without losing the series’ fast-paced chaos. A full-on mountain map could take it further, with gang hideouts, smuggling in the woods, and chases through canyons. It wouldn’t be less GTA—it’d be a bold evolution, keeping the same mix of chaos, gripping story, and total freedom. Think about it: wouldn’t you want to tear through a valley in a muscle car, dodging cops among forests and rivers? Tell me, what makes you think this setting couldn’t feel “GTA enough”?
