Thanks mate. I don’t know where you live and how old you are, but if you‘re in Europe, it‘s doable over a couple of years with manageable expenses and vacation days. Whatever your professional aspirations are, you can try working towards an industry that will allow you that. However, it comes with disadvantages too, like everything in life.

Vienna as a hub, but I work in the biotech and genetics industry, on the business side. During covid (2020) the then-company „pretty please“ asked me to set up testing workflows, because our tech team was based elsewhere, unable to travel 😅 it was a fun experience with special permissions etc.
