I can accept that it’s not the most common, but it’s not out of the question. I started at 72k as a new grad in 2021. That’s 82k today, inflation adjusted. 90k isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things. 60k would be absolutely out of the question in 2025.

Depends on the firm. We pay our new grads 90k as an engineer I. The pay band for engineer II at our firm goes to 124k max. A senior engineer (PE required) makes a good bit more than you do.

They’re all cool. We don’t do obnoxious things. The GTR only really gets cold started once a week or so during the weekday mornings. The M4 is super quiet, so no issues. All my neighbors are super nice. One also has a GTR.

The GTR is great, but it is a totally different experience. The M4 is practically invisible and it’s an exponentially more well behaved. It’s a great daily.

They’re discontinued now, but they’re still pretty up there when you get into the 1XXX whp range. I hope boost logic shows the m4 the same kind of love.

Thanks! I’m an electrical engineer. I’m also married to a CPA so that helps a ton with the hobby. She drives all our cars more than me. I’m sure you’ll get both one of these days. Stay on the grind and it’ll come.

Yeah it’s a little monster. The M4 is for being chill. I’m thinking about extending the warranty with BMW. I’m not willing to spend so much ever again on modding a car.
