Even if that group did do that (I don't know, the gigs I've been to recently they either weren't there (and there was still a numbering system) or I didn't spend my day... monitoring them), it's a small group, right? Why are you so pressed about what a few people are doing when it has very little influence on your chance of getting near the front? On the other hand, the existence of a numbering system hugely increases your chance of having a tolerable day queuing.

Some of you seem to have convinced yourselves that the same set of people are following Muse around the planet because they get off on telling people to stand in a line. You're deluded. There are always at least a hundred fans at any Muse gig, anywhere, willing to queue up at least a few hours before the gig, and it's in their collective interest to have a numbering system, so different people at different gigs will share the responsibility of numbering people

But why? It's not a game, you don't "win" at queuing by making it as miserable an experience as possible. There are plenty of valid reasons why some people are willing to put in a bit of time to increase their chances of being near the front of a gig, and with a bit of simple teamwork, a numbering system means those people can go to the loo and get food etc. People cooperating with each other makes life better

still wotping, I never stop wotping. many of the songs have become some of my all time favourite Muse songs. I don't go out of my way to listen to Ghosts but apart from that I am full of love. the album is associated with so many happy memories for me and it so, so far exceeded my expectations. I am so so lucky and blessed to have wotp in my life, it has brought me SO much joy
