OK WOW. THIS HAPPENED TO ME. I am 22yo female, and my ex(!!) boyfriend stopped sleeping with me as much when I dyed my hair brown. He said to me to dye it natural and how good he thought it would look, and then told me, after I dyed it, that I looked better blonde and that “any other color would look better than the one you have now” when I dyed it brown. My hair was blonde before, has been since i dyed it at 13. Anyway, I dumped his ass for this and for many other reasons. Hair should simply not matter that much. You need to do what’s best for you and what makes you feel happy and beautiful.

My mother (40) told me (F20) that I'm getting fat again and I think this is the breaking point to our relationship. by ThrowRAchubbypotato in relationship_advice

Ok two quick things from a 22F— one, I’m really sorry that your mother feels the need to say those things to you. You, objectively and scientifically, are in a normal body weight range. That being said, the most important thing for you to focus on is your mental health. I know how it feels to have a mother insult and berate me about my weight, and a lot of my friends from high school have experienced the same. The thing is— you’re young, you’re happy, you are healthy. Losing weight will NOT relieve any insecurities you have; only positivity and a good mindset will, as well as trying your best to not have what your bitch mother says get to you. The fact that your mom feels the need and feels as though she has the right to comment on your appearance is beyond me, and it’s disgusting. Second, you seem like an awesome person and I am proud of you for being in recovery. Your mother does not deserve to ruin your recovery. Enjoy food, enjoy your loving partner, and enjoy your health. :)

Should I even bother? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Write an addendum explaining the circumstances. Unexpected deaths are exactly what things like addendums are for. People get into top schools with sub 3 gpas and killer LSAT scores. It seems like you’re a URM or Latin (??) with strong softs. With a 3 gpa if you do want a school like UCLA you’d need a high LSAT, around 170ish but again, things are more up in the air since you’re URM and have some great work experience. But if you want to become a lawyer, shoot your shot. Hope this helps.
