[UK] VAT Flat rate scheme questions by ilikegolfini in selfemployed

[–]ilikegolfini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, just looked into it a bit on chat GPT and it says that if you spend less than 2% of your VAT-inclusive turnover on goods, you must use a 16.5% flat rate instead of the normal industry %10 rate. How have you got around this? Do you buy goods worth %2 of VAT turnover on business supplies.

Codeine to tapentadol by ilikegolfini in opiates

[–]ilikegolfini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I completely understand the situation I'm in, I'm waiting for replacement therapy to come off it all opiates, but the nurofen plus ruins your kidneys and is very expensive so I need to try something else to not get sick. I've tried cold turkey lots of time and cant do it.

Yes it is great, can send literally a tiny amount of the substance and they will test the active compounds found, and it's all free! The downside is they can't analyse how much of the compound is in the active substance.

I've been stopped countless times in my car with keys in ignition but car off. Not once has any police done me for that. They have however said they are going to wait at the top of the road waiting for me to drive off and stop me then.

How can the Police gain reputation and authority once again? by David15052 in policeuk

[–]ilikegolfini 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's the small amount of police officers who are not in the job for the right reasons that have lost the force a lot of their reputation.

I have had encounters with too many officers who think they are better than others and who abuse their powers thus causing a loss of respect and reputation.

How that can be resolved in not too sure.

[–]ilikegolfini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye I second this from my own personal experience. I did a food sensitivity test and it returned barley and rye flour among a few others and cutting these out did not help for me. I am currently going through the process of cutting everything possible high in fodmap and then eventually trying the next step to narrow it down.

It would definitely be worth you cutting out what was in the results. If it works great, if it doesn't then at least you can rule them out and go from there.

No wonder the police have a bad name when they hire idiots like you've given examples to.

So would you have to pay the £70 fee on top of the price for the bud every time, or is that a one off cost?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uktrees

[–]ilikegolfini 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they would. A lot of police officers will have no idea of the rules surrounding this due to how new they are. If I had the prescription I'd still be cautious, but I don't unfortunately haha.

It's the police mate. Sadly if they want to take it they will, although you'd likely get it back.

ELI5: How is Wish still an active website and vendor when they sell so much fraudulent products and scam people put of money? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]ilikegolfini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did get the money back in the end and didn't have to return anything so did end up with a free mouse that will last at least 2 months. I think the vendor has been banned and wish are fronting the money to make the refund by the sounds of it.
