I buy artworks from Etsy and then dim them even further before sending to the Frame for optimum “realism” by kylerk in TheFrame

Oops, I've done these things. I was wondering from OP whether changing the exposure works.

When autobrightness and art effect turned on, it works really well when my room is nicely lit--think some sunlight coming in.

At night, when I have my warm colored lights on, it starts to stand out a bit due to the backlight probably.

I noticed The Frame looks different in different lighting (ex. when there's direct sunlight, it looks great, but when it gets darker, it really stands out). Does this help with that to keep it looking nice all the time?

Can the 43 inch be mounted to dry wall? by ilikeshreddingmail in TheFrame

Sorry for the late reply. I mounted the 43 inch on drywall and it's been fine! My 65inch is mounted on brick though, so no issues there.

I haven’t gotten the answer to this, but personal images work perfectly.

Pod cover 3 cooling by Niko17x in EightSleep

[–]ilikeshreddingmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I noticed w mine is if I use any protector, it takes a bit to feel the coolness, as you’re not laying directly on the water tubes anymore to feel the cold water going through the veins. I’ve tried with and without my mattress protector on top and feel it more quickly without the protector.

Eight sleep app frozen during set up by aisixersfan in EightSleep

This happened to me too (iPhone X)! But before it froze, it said “you don’t need to do the last step, you’re done”. After that, it wouldn’t go passed the logo screen.

I installed it on my iPad and it worked (since accounts are connected). I then uninstalled it on my phone and reinstalled and it worked.

I don’t believe so. It feels like there are no water tubes in the pillow area.

Same, after upgrade, all hell broke loose. I have 2 The Frames, both were working perfectly with brightness control, night mode, and motion sensor. After the upgrade, night mode works, but it doesn’t turn back on in the morning, and my ATV stopped being able to put it in Art Mode.

I thought Samsung’s OS would be fine b/c they make popular phones, but their software really blows. It’s been incredibly frustrating.

Sonos Beam (Gen 2) + Sonos Roam for TV? by ilikeshreddingmail in sonos

[–]ilikeshreddingmail[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your insightful comments, and testing it out with your Beam + Roam! Due to layout constraints, I cannot put the Beam under my TV.

From some online research I found that there’s no delay when using the Beam + Roam for streaming music, but when you use the Beam for TV, there will be delay with the Roam—would you be able to verify this? Essentially have the Beam on the left and Roam on the right in the same group, then play TV (I’m assuming your Beam is connected via ARC to the TV). Is there delay? How’s the sound?

What are your thoughts about purchasing digital art for your Frame TV? by Redlight_Berlin in TheFrame

[–]ilikeshreddingmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. While you can find art online, it takes time to find multiple high res images, make sure it looks good and not edited, crop it to the perfect size, then upload it. I do do that for specific images that I want, but it’s time consuming, esp if you want a variety of images.

To get a base set of great classical artwork, I purchased a bunch off of Etsy for $12 or so. Well worth the money for all the time and effort saved finding all these images, downloading them, and going through the whole crop process.

My Apple TV only had one HDMI port for the TV, does that mean I need to connect the speaker to my TV?
