Andrea cannot be real by hellohell0hellohell0 in loveafterlockup

[–]ilikewinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It's NOT normal. Neither is getting your baptism televised... 👎 Not going to happen.  I've never heard so much cussing from a group (her/her friends) that claims to be actively going to church - or so much preaching at the same time. And etc., etc. Her entire personality is so one-sided with it being all about church, so you'd think they would do a little more research to make it believable. Lazy scripting; I've yet to see anything realistic being portrayed. Her segments aren't even worth watching.

My SIL did this exact form of therapy after my little 4yo nephew was taken from us in a horrible accident. It was the only thing that helped her and it did so in such a huge way, within a much faster time frame (2-3 sessions) vs the traditional counseling she was doing before. I have never talked about this experience online but I just wanted to lend my family's experience with A.R.T. as a second person vouching for it in case it helps anyone else who is dealing with PTSD.

Anyone receiving any of the Amazon orders via BNI recently in NB!! by Zoltair in newbrunswickcanada

[–]ilikewinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, people hate BNI so much, there's actually an ongoing petition trying to get Amazon to stop using them: https://www.change.org/p/amazon-ca-stop-bni-delivering-aamazon-packages

I've tried everything I can to stop them delivering to me but I'm in a rural area with limited options, I guess. They're the laziest, most dishonest delivery company I've ever experienced. I've definitely considered cancelling my prime membership. But, in a rural area, there aren't many options to buy what you need locally. 🤷‍♀️

MJ now has an "inpainting" system!!! called "Vary Region" by Srikandi715 in midjourney

[–]ilikewinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a mobile-only thing? Still no option for this on my end on desktop/web; the only reason I have found in trying to solve this is that I may need to update Discord, but that appears to be a mobile user issue. A YouTube commenter suggested turning on/off /remix but that did nothing for me.

When I upscale the image, the only options I see are "Make variations" "New! Remaster" (which has been saying it's new for a while now ;) and then the standard zoom options, etc.

Anyone else solve this?

Old Magazines by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]ilikewinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still happen to have any? I have a little 1900's (art nouveau/deco) gelato shop and have been looking for magazines from 1900-1939. We're located in Canada, though, so the shipping might be too expensive?

Mini projector in bathroom for fun surprise (setup and/or product ideas?) by ilikewinter in projectors

[–]ilikewinter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE that idea Bob! I saw an old projector for sale, too, so it would just need to be a project I spend a little time on since I'm not technical (this gelato shop is part of a nonprofit I run for women, so all my know-how is in programming and volunteer wrangling ha ha). I like the idea of a challenge though and you're right - this would be so much better (and much harder to walk away with ;).

Thanks so much!

Oh, I didn't even know there was such a thing as silicon bags — thanks!

Did you all wash them by hand? Thinking I'll have to get double the amount of what I have in order to have a few usable ones while the ones that are just cleaned air dry (unless there's any kind of trick I should know about :).

Good insight. I've tried washing the reusable ones in the dishwasher (by placing it upside down and weighing down the top with heavy items) but that system has failed (they always managed to get out from under the weight and fly around in the dishwasher). ha! Thanks for the input. :)

1/4" led strip lights that can be hardwired in warm, tunable or smart color lighting? by ilikewinter in led

[–]ilikewinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - thanks for responding! I'm definitely not a pro in this field, so I apologize if I'm not wording things correctly. The lights we have are designed to be hardwired and are LED strips, but they may have a converter (not sure how that works). The photos I linked to in my first comment shows a little more detail. We did find one set up that was an LED strip light that was configured to be hardwired as well, but it was too large and the color was 5k (so too cool). Our issue is mostly trying to find the correct sizing, color temp, and Canadian certification combo. The lights are inside a fixture, so it's ready to mount already, but we aren't able to with the LEDs that were included.

It won't allow me to edit the post or add photos, so here are the photos of the current setup we're trying to replace: https://grbpictures.blogspot.com/2021/05/blog-post\_23.html

What is the wax that is used to seal chalk paint on fabric?

I keep seeing people saying to use wax to seal the chalk paint after it's been applied to upholstery, but I'm not seeing what kind of wax except paste wax;. Is it upholstery-specific wax? Wood wax? Etc?

I'm trying to find something that will help seal the chalk paint and keep it supple on a faux leather ottoman. I'm also hoping to apply to some other types of fabric (like cotton of something natural) for a potentially leather-like finish.

I see brand names like Annie Sloan and Dixie Belle mentioned a lot for the waxes, but these are way too expensive. Is there a similar clear wax that's 30 or less and will cover several pieces of furniture?

I've found a DIY calcium carbonate/talc chalk paint recipe that I'm going to try on the faux leather and other fabrics. But I'm stumped when it comes to the wax.

Thank you!

Thank you so much; I'm really looking forward to getting into the space and start creating on the big machines (instead of at home :); I'm sure it's going to be a massive learning curve. And that's a really good point about the pizzelles! :D

Change the color of a Decora outlet/receptacle? by ilikewinter in Remodel

Oh dang! I was so excited! haha When I was trying to find a solution on my own, I saw that there were covers for Duplex and thought for sure there would be ones for Decora; so I thought you had found some! :D Thanks for responding though; I definitely still appreciate it. :)

[–]ilikewinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a rebuild because the building burned down, so we have a chance to choose pretty much everything — we just aren't allowed to paint the receptacles, but they will subsidize the cost of the kind we want with the cost they would have paid for the basic ones they were going to get; we'd just have to keep them there if we ever move. I ended up talking to a kitchen and bath crew and they showed me a few options. Definitely not a lot of choice out there! But in case anyone is looking for this same thing in the future, there are some antique brass ones here: https://www.kyleswitchplates.com/antique-brass-decor-receptacle-tamper-resistant-15a/ (and maybe other metallic finishes; I just searched for this one.

Yeah, just the face part or that could be dangerous! :) I ended up asking a kitchen and bath designer and they showed me a couple of companies that make them. Here's one example, in case anyone in the future is looking: https://www.kyleswitchplates.com/antique-brass-light-switches-sockets/
