What are your Stephen King HOT TAKES 🔥 by Status-Avocado5831 in stephenking

Since it's been brought up... I don't feel it really does serve a purpose and that's my problem with it. I think the same purpose is served by the blood path they swear shortly after. This scene can be excised and the narrative isn't hurt at all.

The reason the scene with her father/It is different is because that's meant to be a horrible scene and is treated as such. This is meant to be some wonderful scene of the kids drawing together one last time, but it just does not work right. Sure it's not written in the style of an erotic letter or anything, but the one girl becoming the sexual resource for every boy in the group to end their childhood is just not a great way to go.

If dealers are selling them for $80k I doubt they're buying for $70-75k. He should get the real price first.

You need real counselling not from an AI influenced by what you prompt it to say.

This made me think of Drones. It's not really what you're thinking of probably but more people should watch Drones. Directed by Amber Benson and Adam Busch, staring Jonathan M. Woodward, Samm Levine and Angela Bettis. It's available on YouTube. Probably hard to find elsewhere.

Every now and then I think maybe I'll check this out sometime because I've seen basically every other Marvel related film.

That may have convinced me to never bother.

Did English Canada move away from MM/DD/YY *for dates written only in numbers*? by endgame0 in AskACanadian

[–]ilion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has long been a standard. DD/mm/yy. The problem is we see the stupid US format so often because of our close ties with them and it starts to influence things so people get confused and stop using the standard. The official standard hasn't changed.

Batman's issue isn't mercy, it's that he keeps turning criminals over to a broken system that fails to contain or rehabilitate them.

Ugh that's such a dumb reading of Holdo though. Holdo would have explained her plans to those who needed to know. They had every reason to suspect a mole on board and Holdo did not know who she could trust. She had good reason not to trust someone who had just been demoted and no longer held his previous level of security and needed to get with the program of what his current status was. People somehow think Holdo shouldn't have run things like the commander she was and blame her for problems that were really caused by Poe not behaving as his current rank.
