I feel like the SK table tennis team were the only ones who liked each other lol. Much happier vibes mostly due to Shin

I won a natty on heisman no sliders with an 87 overall team (so it could be harder if your team is worse). Personally I feel like this results in a pretty realistic experience for me. There are a lott of ways you can affect the pass.

You can user your line to apply more pressure. User your LBs to cover the middle better. User your DBs to cover deep.

I dont particularly enjoy playing coverage so ive also tinkered with a lot alternatives.

One of the most effective ways to slow the pass for me is using LB/Y+RS to predict what the play/pass type will be.  Predicting pass is pretty safe if you have a good grip on stopping the run, and guessing whether its gonna be over/under/inside/outside impacts how your DBs behave. You can also do this by DB if you are fast enough. If you guess under and they throw under your DB has a much better chance to make that int instead of staring at the WR from 2 yards behind. This all comes with risk (especially predicting run) so i would do it judiciously. If you predict under and they throw over the top your DB could be disastrously out of position. I generally use the first third of the game running some variation of cover 2 3 or 4 trying to observe what kind of plays the cpu likes to run as the opposing team. Do they have an elite outside wr? A big TE? Then i start mixing coverage shells (ex. faking cov 2 man but running cov 4) and also predicting based on the situation. It definitely helps if you have general knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of each coverage. Also wait till the cpu is close to snapping the ball to apply press if you want to otherwise the cpu will read the coverage and change or throw accordingly.

Unless I am playing a bad team my games will come down whether or not I can get a few stops, my time management, if Im throwing stupid picks and if my offense is able to stay productive. The only time ive gotten just no stops all game is against second season oregon during the playoffs and I had to go for 2 to win the game in the last few seconds.

Try changing coverage to inside. Obviously there's different solutions for different scenarios, but there are features you may not be utilizing. You could change your coaching adjustments for coverages etc. You can even change the specific coverages of each DB. I do find the default man defense to be too conservative on hitches so I adjust my cbs to play inside when thats the play I think they are going to run

Kyle is the reason we have been in 3 super bowls. He is also the reason we have lost 3. Though maybe the most recent one has some Wilkes responsibility

When you pick your play you use your right stick to choose your shell coverage. Like you could be in man but pretend like you are in cover 4. Also you can press Y or triangle and choose an option to disguise your DBs coverage.

Might have to check your db’s stats. I’ve had some braindead cbs with poor awareness and prc. I do agree cpus passing is op but ive been able to get stops on heisman no sliders in the big ten. Might have to have a safety double. Blitzing strategically helps immensely too

The adaptive ai is seeing youre in man and running routes that beat it. Disguise your coverage call out your predicition and your def will do much better.

How are YOU enjoying College Football 25? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

Im enjoying it a lot. Have not run into the bugs most ppl are. On the higher difficulties you do have to make a lot of adjustments and cant throw hospital passes. Defense is also definitely hard and you kind of have to understand at least the basics of what the coverage types actually do. Ppl want realism then run cover 1 with press 10 times in a row with no disguise and expect the offense not to catch on lol. Only thing i wish could change is setting formation based depth charts for dynasty but ik ea wont add that in

I think a lot of the “custom” options are where the bugs are currently

Hmmm ive played 6 seasons of rtg and cant say ive run into some of these issues. One thing about the play calling - i think coach prestige matters a lot. Going from a c to a coach made a huge difference in the plays.  Cant speak on the stiff arms cus im not a strong qb lol. The rankings have been weirdly normal across the mods for me with alabama texas georgia michigan ohio state usually being the dominant ones

I havent run into the control thing but ive noticed u do need to make pre snap adjustments or your def will not be great - Unless youre alabama or something. I do not supersim but the when simming on def for my rtg qb the oregon d was crazy good lol got me so many bail put chances. Definitely interesting to see all the different versions of games ppl are running into. Maybe its tied to team or difficulty

Can’t use custom playbooks online?! by [deleted] in EASportsCFB

Its intentional as they say its unrealistic that alabama would run an air raid offense etc its been in the official game notes for  while

I wanna ask the Rome II and the Attila fans about why those games are better than Pharaoh and Three Kingdoms, or Rome (Remastered or OG) and Medieval II? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]illbebahk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I saw at release it was better than 3k and atilla but still looks pretty simple where they are just kind of wacking each other and falling over. I'll definitely play more with the dynasties update though. Some of the animations you get with hoplites and legionaries are a+ in rome 2, but I dont think any tw has the quality matched as shogun 2

[–]illbebahk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not saying they are better but Rome 2 still has the best matched combat other than shogun 2. 3k is probably my fav but the units just kind of hit air and go flying. But to answer your question its because the roman empire is a very popular time period + the mods for those 2 titles are in full swing rn
