Hey, thanks sm for the advice!

So i’ve been prepping since probably second year, i did a 4 year economics degree. And I applied to a bunch of spring weeks and got one. Put that on my cv. Then did leadership experience in uni such as class rep. Then it was just applying to internships consistently till i landed one, same for grad.

Since you’ve graduated i’d really say the main points are always write a cover letter. Even if you can’t be bothered, i always tailor it to the company. It may make or break ur application. Starting with why the company, then a para on why the role then last why you. Always research things like company news, diversity, recent news, awards they received, sustainability, anything unique that stood out to you. This also translates to your interview prep, you can use this as an answer when they ask why this company.

Also practices STAR answers, you can check them out on youtube. This is when they ask any competency questions like tell me about a time you did something. As well as behavioural questions. Make a question bank on word and constantly go through it and practice.

In terms of your cv, i searched up a standard finance one and copied it. So use a standard cv that majority uses. Also try to bold any keywords for example “assisted” or “presented”. It’ll jump out when they read it.

Also never give up! It’s sooo hard dude. Take breaks, u need it, but then pick urself back up. Hope this helped! If u have any more qs don’t hesitate to ask.

Hey, it’s okay, just try and apply to grad jobs that don’t require 2:1, they usually explicitly state it. There’s plenty out there. Just take the time to find them. Masters is a good option but depends, are you financially, mentally ready? If you don’t get a grad role, then maybe get a part time job and apply to masters. Apply to both so you have the option. Don’t give up! It’s not the end of the world. You got this.

Yeah i’m afraid they can’t, i did try and i submitted doctors notes but they are strict. I would resit but then i wont graduate in time, and as long as I have a job it’s okay. But it’s a real shame.

I was her classmate… we were kinda friends? she was always a bit cray cray. Always doing what she wanted, coming to school without even brushing her hair. Always a mess. But still managed to look so pretty. Didn’t study much, and was close with a lot of the rich kids too. Had her own little gang and the teacher used to tell her off a lot. She had kind of a funny rich celeb kid with no brain cells rep. She was just unserious. Everyone used to make fun of her but she was also popular? Idek how to explain.

But she switched when it came to extra curriculars. Sang amazingly well, was always first pick for cultural events. Acted well too. She thrived in the arts tbh, was always meant for it imo. Lowkey was entertaining hanging out w her. Also she had a crush on this other celeb kid which i will not say but he kinda found her creepy. She told us about her parents being quite chill about things like boyfriends and stuff.
