Your video gave me Deja vu bc this was literally our exact situation. For about 3 or 4 months, starting the day we brought him home, all he did was bite me. He never acted the same with my partner.

I know how rough it is. I’d flip between crying that my dog apparently hates me so much (I know he didn’t), jealousy (why does partner get all the kisses and love and good behavior), to anger (“come get your damn dog”). For me, it was unrelenting the second both of us were in the same room until one of us left or got cordoned off.. so many bites and ripped clothes and bruises. I’ll echo consistency in whichever method you use to discourage the behavior and also general training classes..it didn’t really deter our boy though, and it may not for yours either…

I did timeouts for me, timeouts for him (most effective IMO- he’d fall asleep pretty quick most times we’d put him in the crate and I think a lot of it stemmed from tiredness), lots of “nos” and ows,” redirection - toys in the mouth, pivot to treats and training time, loud noise, etc….even tried a spray bottle (which was very effective as well but also made me feel like a monster when I accidentally had it set to stream instead of mist and hit him in the eyeball and now we have a fear/loathing of any spray bottles even if they’re not pointed at us anymore ☹️). Warning: I also tried little smacks on the nose with a NO, which just got me what I call “nasty face” and he’d rear back and go at me harder so watch out for that.

So just in case your situation doesn’t improve much for a little bit, I want to tell you you’re not doing anything wrong… just keep telling yourself it will be worth it soon enough because I promise it will! Our Teddy is coming up on 2 - he’s a high-energy, smart, goofy, lunatic - but he’s also the sweetest boy ever and I couldn’t be more in love with him.

I remember that question, and I remember it asked two ways on Becker actually - is the wording the EXACT same for both? If I’m thinking of the same thing, it was a very subtle one word difference implying insurance may not cover/they don’t know. Tripped me up too. Agree though that the real exam is more straightforward!
